Neither an expert nor a fan of spiders, but according to the comments here, it's a Wolf Spider, a member of the Lycosidae family.
Its definitely a spider and it falls under the same genus as the rest of them- steydaphuqawayfrumith and the subclass being burnetheverythingwithfire
Great movie! Great character! Delbert McClintock : Would anyone object if I tore this floor out? Molly Jennings : I would. Delbert McClintock : False alarm then. Lead on.
@Yung-T helped me...seems like it is a Huntsman Spider, aka Giant Crab Spider...apparently found quite often in the Maldives.
So, it like hunts man and giant crabs? Sounds bad. I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. Translation...non-venomous (I'm assuming but really don't like to assume when it comes to spiders)
Definitely a huntsman spider. Big, but definitely not poisonous. Won't trouble you, won't spin webs, and will eat cockroaches, other spiders, mosquitoes (etc). Leave it be - it'll make your stay more pleasant!!
No problem. I’d like to hear what the expert has to say. I’m more than positive this spider is special.
