James Harden is on another level this year and no one is really close.

Harden is right now the best player in the world at 29 years old and overall has been the best player the last 4 years.

I know the voters will do everything to avoid giving the MVP to Harden this year, but they may not have a choice. He is closing in on 35 points a game and now the Rockets are winning.

I'm looking through some old posts, and I keep glancing over the same few people.

    "Truth" "Scientist" "Genius"

It seems that those who attempt to call attention to their intelligence through their usernames generate the hottest, dumbest, weirdest takes.

Or they're the same person. idk

I'm glad the Rockets are on the right track now, and I hope they keep it up. If they can maintain this effort, the results will come.

Actually, he had to score 45 for them to win by 14. Suggestion : maybe next time you should try stopping him, Marcus.

What a jerk, a "good" player my rear end. He is a GREAT player and Morris knows it.

I think he’s a scorekeeper or something...I always see him sitting next to some white dude who I think runs the shot clock

I wouldn’t put it past ESPN to have some spies trying to infiltrate tho

Go step in front of a truck.

Most players would have coasted after a slow start this season and injuries to Paul. Harden didn’t do that, instead he has gone supernova averaging 35 points and leading his team to wins they have no business getting.

James Harden isn’t Tracy McGrady or Carmelo Anthony. He doesn’t just give up.

the MVP should be his if the Rockets get a top 3 seed...only other player in the discussion should be Giannis

Bron, Kawhi, PG, and all the rest can fight it out for the 3-5 spots

Wasn't Morris one of Harden's closest teammates when he was with the Rockets?

Capela vs james hanging on the rim

Harden with the perfect answer to him being in the mvp conversation

Entire of the rest of the season?
If he could do this half of the rest of the season, he deserves to be MVP if you ask me.

Great post, @Nook. Teams know exactly what James is going to do, devise defensive strategies to prevent him from going off, and yet he still plays at an MVP level game in and game out. It’s truly remarkable to watch, and we are lucky as Rockets’ fans to have him.

Well, it's tough to have become Harden's biatch. Marcus, a 40 point game would be your career high and highlight for you to brag for the rest of your life. Harden does it on a nightly basis, that's how big of a gap between you and Harden.

James Harden eyes MVP repeat as hot streak continues, propels Rockets to another win

HOUSTON -- Rockets guard James Harden acknowledges there are other people who deserve to be in the conversation for this season's NBA Most Valuable Player award.

He just doesn't think any of them will be able to prevent him from repeating as the award's recipient.

"I mean, yeah. Of course I should be in that conversation," Harden said, followed by a laugh and a shake of his head after he scored 45 points in Houston's 127-113 victory Thursday over the Boston Celtics. "I mean, I receive a lot of hate, but it won't stop me from going out there and killing every single night, being that dog that I am.

"You can name a few other people that should be in the conversation. But realistically? It's coming back."
