Basically he was told a formal recommendation would be made to recuse if he asked for one so instead he won't ask for one and go with his four advisors.

So wait, now conflicts of interests matter in an investigation led by a personal friend of a key witness that was originally staffed with people personally desiring a specific outcome for political reasons and originally overseen by a person who recommended the action that led to the investigation in the first place.....yeah now it's important for people to recuse themselves....

Trump's case is a lot easier than Edwards, Edwards was using money donated to him by someone else to pay his and was trying to argue that money wasn't a political donation and even that case failed, if Edwards had used his own money like Trump did (which he could have afforded), they likely wouldn't have even taken it to court.

If the FEC had to make a decision of whether this was or was not a campaign contribution, the vote would be a tie and no criminal prosecution would be started. Thus, Trump did not break the law.

FEC is broke and Congress does not have the votes to change it.

I said it before and Ill say it again... Whitaker is such a complete idiot for taking that job. He’s all but guaranteed to be subject to an obstruction investigation and at serious risk of being charged after Trump leaves office.

Nixon had TWO AG’s indicted after he resigned. How stupid do you have to be.

Your only hope would be immediately turning on Trump and report EVERYTHING to the special counsel, Rosenstein, and eventually Congress, or he’s banking on Trump being able to become a true dictator where he becomes above the law.

    That’s quite the gamble.

This isn’t Bill Clinton meeting with Loretta Lynch on the tarmac. This is Hillary Meeting with Lynch on the tarmac and yelling at her to influence the probe.

Whitaker needs to come before Congress on day 1 of Democrats taking over and the Senate should have already called him in. This is insane.
