They didn't really "pants" the O line, 3 of the 4 sacks were Watson's fault. Also, the struggles in the secondary were due to missing 3 starters.
I would hope he'd be considerably better than Steve McNair. To expand on that, Watson already has more yards than the best McNair ever managed, he's already passed for more TD's than McNair ever managed, and he's got a significantly higher completion percentage than McNair ever managed. Steve McNair was a scrub QB compared to Watson.
Well they weren’t really pantsed because the Oline was already exposed entering the game. Watson sometimes has issues not knowing when to throw away the ball but let’s not act like the O line was doing their job. At least 2 of those 3 players in the secondary won’t be here next year so the struggles shown in their absence makes an even bigger exclamation point why we have to draft DBs high.
I am in the playoff machine and trying to figure out a way where we miss even when losing next week and worst i can get is a 6 seed, yet i see no where saying we clinched playoff spot
The O line really was doing their job this game, Watson just is indecisive due to a lack of experience and he takes sacks where he should throw the ball away....you can't ask more of ANY O line. I'm not sure those DB's are gone. The Texans have money to spend especially with DT going down forever.
That last play by Brees where he saw no one was open and threw it away is what Watson needs to learn to do.
If we didnt have such an incompetent coach, this game would have been ours. Didnt help that an injury bug is ravaging our team.
Oh man, this Steelers/Saints game is coming down to it. A Saints win is good for us, but doesn't feel like it's in the cards
Watson engineering two TD drives relying heavily on Undrafted free agents is big time. Kid is so special.
