I feel bad for Deshaun and the offense. Gutted out what should have been a win. Tyrann Matheiu and co blew that game.
That game pretty much exposed every single thing that is good and bad about the '18 Texans. **** 2018. Next year will be better on a lot of fronts, right?
So many times the defense held the opponent under 21 points and the offense couldn't convert. The one time the offense finally comes through and our defense ***** the bed. Such is life in Houston sports.
Defense has been pretty horrid since the second half of the Browns game. I like our offense with a healthy Lamar Miller, but going nowhere with this inability to get pressure and stops. Side note: soft ass roughing the passer call on Clowney. Didn’t decide the game but damn it definitely helped.
The game was over before the fumble recovery.. BOB was doing what he was supposed to do.. There are plenty of other things we can hate BOB for this game, but his use of his Timeouts was not one of them
Roughing the Passer is a horrible call, I disagree with every single call they made regarding this penalty today, on both sides. The only one that should have been RTP was the Clowney facemask...which they of course did not call. It's entirely subjective now. Don't lead with your head, don't hit their helmet (even if your hand just slides on top of it), don't go for their legs, basically, just wrap them up and try to lay them down gently. That call really cost us the last drive.
Of course pretty much every other game went against us as well. Titans, Colts, and Patriots all winning. Doesn't the injury to Thomas mean we are on the hook for his salary next year as well?
Foles had what 500 yards passing today? Defense completely **** the bed. Clowney showed up, though that last penalty was costly, and Watt was shut down by Lane Johnson the entire day
