We have to find the Next Sam Cassell

CP3 is kind of like a extremely better version of Kenny Smith
    So
We need to find that diamond . . .that Sam Cassell
to be groomed into the Next PG position .
As a Rook they can come off the bench and spell CP3
    while learning from him.

I think we will be ok this year . . . I truly do
    Find a stop gap
    but
    KEEP THE PICK!!!
Even if it means B Knight is here all year.

Cant keep the pick. Tillman priority is dumping salary over adding talent

Too late, Morey wants to dump that pick so he can get rid of BK.

Totally agree with this post. I wonder if you can quantify "ugly". Or "alien". Maybe HR (head radius)*AL (arm length)/WS (waist size). Something like that.

    Gonna be ok.

Agreed, that is why he is paying Chris Paul $160,000,000 over the next 4 years.

Melton was our Sam Cassell. He's long gone. We keep finding them and gift them away. It's getting sickening already.

I don't care what position they use the pick on but they do need to keep it , because of the salary mess they are in , this is the only way to add anything of quality to the team …. free agency wise all they will have this coming offseason is the MLE and vet min deals. You aren't going to add much with that … just as we saw this year , quality FA's cost big bucks and they will have none to spend and their tradable "assets" aren't very useful in talent acquisition …. couldn't give away 4 #1 picks with that garbage to get a return.

Keep that pick and add some youth to this team on and a contract that is team controlled for 4-8 years.

He pays for the stars, but cannot afford a supportong cast. So heavy duty minutes destroy CP's body

Nobody is going to take Knight contract if you keep the picks.
it's like when I met a Mom and a daughter, I wanted to married Mom, not the daughter.
Hawks and Cavs wanted to married first round picks, not Knight contract, it is the same thing.

The biggest concern is that if Cavs or Hawks demand 2 First round picks for taking Knight contract.
Why not trade Gordon for a rookie contract?

You need names to sell a product. It takes more than names to win a championship. Tilman doesn't want to believe that.

So he bought a Lamborghini body with Corolla parts. Yet, because he wanted to gamble on the best of both worlds, he's ended up paying the price of a Lamborghini anyway because of unexpected maintenance costs. That's no one's problem but his own. Even if it's an understandable economic position for him to take, it's not part of being a fan to care about that.

Many players and analysts have said this before me: championship windows are rare and thus priceless. The income from winning a championship (short and long term) is tremendous. It is not unfair to have to pay more than the defending champions to beat them. That's a totally fair situation, especially when that champion is stacked, well-managed and the players take strategic/lucky discounts to allow for extra talent. I don't need to hear one more F'ing person telling me how thankful we should be that Tilman is one of the biggest spenders in the league. He's one of the biggest revenue generators too, and the champions are spending roughly the same while getting more out of their money.

So if they're not going to pay up or tank, and all they're going to do is dump Knight's contract, then he's thrown in the towel and said: I'll keep my asset profitable and the fans will have to endure the situation. I hope he proves me wrong.

There are more kids to play like Steph Curry and Dame Lillard than there are Sam Cassells.
