This was predictable and it was why I was so upset about us paying him so much over the summer. Contrary to popular belief the reason why I say thing iS not to say I told you so but its out of the hopes that they dont do the things that will make stupid **** like this happen. I mean who pays a guy his age that much money and on top of it he's injury prone. It was just stupid.
I'm not one of those chicken little fans that have a sky is falling down mentality after every loss, but I am a realist. And the truth is this five game winning streak was fools gold. The team was winning because harden put the team on his back, in spite of cp3 and Gordon lack of production. That's why it's so discouraging to see CP3 having subpar games, which is now becoming the norm and it looks like age and injuries have finally caught up to him. The reality is we're not going anywhere with a washed up cp3 and Gordon. That's why morey should've traded for butler when he had the chance over the summer. Now harden's prime will be wasted away.
We all knew the risks but it's not like morey had a choice. What I do blame morey on is not trading Gordon, tucker for butler when he had the chance. If you look at morey's twitter bio, its says, "Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor." That's why Anytime you have an opportunity to add a star to your team, you have to take it, but morey got too cute. Besides, Didn't morey say that he wanted more players from TEAM USA Basketball?
you're the definition of what hes talking about. all your posts are about b****ing and whining in losses. your post history says it all. no where to be found when the rockets are winning. quick peeks to try and play the i told you so role in losses. you coming here and making a post trying to explain yourself. might as well wave a sign saying im guilty realist? quit kidding yourself
You can't really because Minny incl. Thibs were against trading him within the West, esp. to a Playoff rival.
I don't care about the wins and losses, that's not what bothers me, it's cp3 that I'm worried about. And if you look at my post history you'd see my disappointment in cp3's game even after a win. I don't care how many games they win, because as long as cp3 plays the way he's been playing, the rockets have no chance of winning a championship, but you only look at the short term, taking it game by game but fail to see the big picture.
Seriously! I get why they resigned him and felt like they had to but I saw this coming from a mile away... as soon as CP3 signed that contract I knew he would be our new Ryan Anderson and our window would be slammed shut. It’s going to take a miracle for Morey to turn this team back into a contender since I fear we are stuck with CP3 and his constant injuries.
The Rockets have like $93 million invested in their guard position and unfortunately need help in the backcourt. Bad luck, bad roster management, whatever. It's not good.
i actually don't feel sorry for chris paul. all he had to do was take less money so they could retain ariza and dantonio would have stronger bench. but he had to be greedy. dantonio will play the players he trust into the ground and they eventually will get injuries; that's what happen to stoudamire in phoenix.
I understand that some fans try to defend the hiring of Paul at an almost ridiculous price, what I do not understand is that they justify the lack of vision to protect that investment. What was the plan for Paul to rest more minutes? Put Brandon Knight to play who was brought knowing he was injured? Put MCW? Carmelo Anthony at PG? I understand that there are many factors that can not be predicted, but we can not deny that the planning for this season has been terrible.
I'm not patting myself on the back. Yes, I was miserable when we signed him because I knew it was a horrible deal.
Sucks for you then to witness the only team that gave gs any trouble. My how that must of been bad times. Just terrible
