Because this years team is better than last years team. I wish Rob Gray well wherever he ends up but I too am more interested in the success of this years team.
and that's bc the team put in a ton of work in the offseason to prepare themselves for this year. that has nothing to do with Rob Gray and the team a year ago
It's also because they play more as a team. There is no one guy that everyone thinks in the guy. Even last year I thought Galen Robinson was more valuable to the team. He still can't hit his free throws that well but I would rate him vastly improved this year over last year. I knew coming into this year we had C. Davis, A. Brooks, F. White, and G. Robinson as key players coming back from last years team. I was not expecting Galen Robinson to be as good offensively as he has been and it has been a pleasant surprise.
and that's because they don't have a scorer like Rob Gray on the roster. So putting the ball in galen robinson's hands asking him to do what Rob Gray did wouldn't make sense now would it. anyways this is pretty much going away from what i was originally shocked at. you can think he was a ball hog all you want. I just think that's ridiculous and so far off
Rob Gray was a ball hog IMO and in your opinion he was not. Let's leave it at that. We both agree to disagree and what be both agree on is that we are both excited about this years team. The sky is the limit for them. Maybe not Phi Slamma Jamma but very possibly could be best team since then if they continue to play well and have no major injuries.
Got my Dad and I tickets for the Wichita St and SMU games coming up for Christmas. Really looking forward to seeing the new area and the new TEAM as I haven't been to a game since the Dickey era (VOMMM...!)
Agreed. Utah State is a good team. But glad we have a very competitive non-conference schedule this year. This team has proven they're up for it. Our defense will keep us in games where our shot isn't falling.
what a 2nd half. completely flipped it on utah. hopefully galen is going to be ok. his head bounced off the floor after taking that charge towards the end
I thought we were cooked after only scoring 21 points in the first half. This team keeps finding a way to win. 11-0 and counting. Nice win.
In all three of these games the Cougars appeared to be playing the better team in the first half, only to make them look like kindergartners in the second half. When is the last time you saw that. That to me is all on coaching. The defensive adjustment last night clearly worked. The offense adjustments worked. Just night and day. And by the end of each game, the Cougars looked superior. I don't think it's been lack of effort, those teams were good, it's simply been coaching. The team is good. But they are executing the strategy too. Third straight game teams went man to man, and we still won. There's really nothing anyone can bring right now to stop us. They've tried everything.
Great comeback win against a pretty good Utah State Aggies team. 11-0....ranked 21....life is good. I can't wait to see where we will rank next week after we pummel Coppin State on Sunday. Coppin State is 0-12 this year! Holy cow that is bad. Safe to say we can count that as a W. Airzona State (18), Texas Tech (12), Auburn (7) all lost this week.
Wow!! I knew we were good but did not realize we were that good. Maybe if Alley and Jarreau and others get their outside shot refined a little. Sky is the limit for this team.
