I feel bad for Paul but I feel worse for the Rockets. We clearly have the best player in the league right now with no one to help him. For all you glass half full never see anything wrong with the Rockets optimists. Ask yourself what this franchise's future really looks like? But please take off the goggles first.
I hoped that CP3 would of have aged like Steve Nash. Unfortunately it seems like he'll age like Baron Davis....
Stunning that this happened. Old player with history of hamstring issues playing big minutes while already dealing with other issues injures his hamstring???? Unreal. Thankfully we have 3 more years of this. I'm sure that over time and with more stress on his hamstring it will improve. Run it back!
Mine is neither full nor empty. I am the true Realist instead of that fake TheRealist who is panicking every second.
I really can not understand Morey's strategy for this season. Leaving aside the incredible mistake of bringing Carmelo Anthony, Morey: first sign a ridiculous contract with an injury prone player, then watch passively as we are left with the worst bench in the league, and finally, make a trade to bring a possible Paul's replacement knowing that he is coming from a serious injury. Really ... hard to understand.
I think it is bittersweet because our own star is involved. Would be funnier if Chris was on another rival team.
I can't believe Morey and MDA didn't learn anything from the Spurs on how they managed Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili. We might be a highly analytical team in terms of player acquisition, but we are REALLY behind the curve on dealing with managing veteran minutes. Hell, we didn't even learning anything from Yao!
this was inevitable. we don't have the depth to reduce CP3's minutes and older players playing lots of minutes get hurt ...especially injury prone older players. this was the concern. i'm sick about the fact that we are not gonna have a chance to be real contenders over the next several years because Cp3's contract is an albatross. We'll be begging for the days of the ryan anderson contract quandary. Folks who think the rockets are contenders with the current roster are deluding themselves. How are we supposed to improve the team tethered to CP3's contract? I honestly wish we had hit the reset when it became clear this year was fool's gold, traded everyone not named Harden and Clint away, and started the rebuilding process. But hey, i guess some folks are okay with the mediocrity treadmill. to me ...it's a fate worse than death.
Let him sit until March in Hope's of getting it right. Get number 8 seed and deal with GSW in first round.
I would seriously like you to lay out the viable alternatives to signing CP3. Everyone’s destroying Morey for resigning him but how did you expect to replace his production? It’s like y’all think superstars grow on trees. Unless last season turned into an unmitigated disaster we essentially made our bed when we traded for him. And based on last years results that trade was a resounding success in almost every way. End of story. I will say this... a lot of the same people who b**** about “chemistry” and Morey “treating players like assets” are the same ones admonishing him for resigning CP3. Something that was undoubtedly agreed upon before CP3 ever agreed to being traded.
