I think the Rockets can win the title. It will be awfully tough, but they can. Harden is the goods. For this team, it is all about peaking at playoff time and having everyone healthy. It is true that they will have to really battle to make the playoffs, but if we have chemistry built up and a healthy team at playoff time, we can win, regardless of our seed. I don't care if we go for revenge against Golden Srtate in WCF or first round. If we are healthy we can beat anyone. I believe CP will have to miss a few weeks now and maybe more later. He just has to be around enough to help us make the playoffs and be healthy for our run. An upgrade at forward would be huge, but I think another quality gaurd/playmaker will be important to get us to qualify for the playoffs with CP in and out of the roatation. Hopefully Knight gets his bearings and contributes enough to either help us win and/ or build up his trade value.
You homers are awfully optimistic for a team that's mentally weak and physically depleted. For a former MVP, Harden sure can't win a single game without Chris Paul. Is that a top 4 player to you guys??
Adorable optimism. Chris Paul has gotten injured pretty much every postseason, no matter what his minutes during the regular season look like. He's made of glass, and given his reduced athleticism which forces him to work harder, that doesn't spell good things.
I too am concerned that CP always gets hurt in the playoffs but if (big if) he is healthy we have a decent shot
It's still a good team, however, they did not play like it in the beginning. Now injuries are likely to happen because our big 3 guards are heavily relied upon. CP3- 33 yr, Harden 29 yr, Gordon 30 yr old.
What so you want him to shoot a shot that would probably low percentage because it will be contensted by multiple players instead of creating a wide open look for Gordon?. If Harden took that shot people will call him a ball hog but if he makes the right player he is a p***y? Damned if you do damned if you don’t.
My biggest concern last night was focused what idtiot was granted a permit to move that monstrosity in Marlins Park straight into American Airlines Arena, placed midcourt, and blown up. It was like a Jackson pollock out there. Nobody can play in those color conditions.
Rockets have been an emotional rollercoaster for me all year. Damn. Hoping CP3 back early in January, but at least we have Knight ramping up his minutes. Given CP3’s injury history, think it’d be extremely short sighted to try and move Knight for a wing or just dunk his salary. We need that guy. Wait for buyouts to improve the wings.
