Full Game Highlights...

 

The lack of Ennis seems to help. Like his hustle and ability to play above the rim a bit, but he’s a disaster on the floor.

 

Actually, we can go back 6 games, since after the Utah debacle.

Last 6 games he's

90/50/40 scoring 38.0

 

Gordon keeps his match-up in front of him, Ennis just couldn't. He was letting guys drive past him too easily, game after game.

As bad as EG's shooting and offense has been, he's been great defending as a starter. It's not a coincidence we've gone on this streak...hopefully, D'Antoni recognizes this and will give Ennis spot minutes when he returns.

 

He's totally checked out.

I guess you could say he's hit a wall

 

Rockets will be even better when Ennis comes back . The reason the Rockets are winning is because EGO is playing in the starting lineup with Harden and CP3.

Ennis going back to being a bench player will make the Rockets stronger.

 

EGO started for the first time against Portland. Fans are forgetting how good Ennis looked off the bench before his injury. Ennis is not quite a starter but I think he is a smidgen better than a bench player, especially if he isn't counted on to score.

With B Knight and Ennis in the rotation (MDA EXPAND THE ROTATION!) Harden and CP3 con potentially get a lot of rest.

 

PJ out there celebrating MCW's 3 reminds me of how excited Rockets player got when Ryan Anderson dunked.

 

MCW is celebrating his only 3 in weeks or in a month? Well, everyone likes a record.

 

That's the thing that had bothered me. Ennis has never been the problem. For 20 minutes off the bench he's playing well. If we expected him to do more we wouldn't have niggled over the details and would have given him a proper multi year MLE.

The problem has been the team around him has been so bad he was in the starting lineup and our primary wing player..and yeah he's not very good if that's expected of him.

 

Dekker was like having 15 in 15 minutes.

Pics or it didn’t happen the way you’re saying it did and also Adam Silver is trying to ruin Harden’s career.

 

My favorite thing was how MDA brought everyone out at the 4min mark.
Can’t remember the last time that happened.

 

Two things stood out for me. EG was more confident with his jumper and his defense remains solid. CP3 and EG are dependent on each other. If either of them gets hot even for short stretches, it makes things easier for the other. Our post defense was non existent. Capela has to lead the way here. Hart needs to work hard too. The Heat may be able to exploit our weaknesses in the front court.
I'm more hopeful for a road win now, then at any time of the season though. We are starting to gel as a unit, but additional changes need to be made when the opportunity arises.
