If you could have any six bands (all time) play at a tribute concert upon your passing, what would that lineup be. A celebration of life jam. Jimi Cream New Order Beatles Eagles Rush would be the headliner.
Funny...I just connected OP's name to a word from the lyrics in "Closer to the Heart" by Rush and the picture to Mark Twain who wrote "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" with the character / Rush song: Tom Sawyer. Man, I'm slow. I'm still the biggest Rush fan on the forum until proven otherwise. I like Plowman's list...albeit I would replace Cream with Led Zeppelin. And, I might replace the fu*king Eagles with either Jeff Beck, Metallica, or Pink Floyd (probably PF).
You can't do both Nirvana and Foo Fighters, dude. Foo Fighters doesn't exist without the dissolution of Nirvana due to Cobain's suicide. What are you trying to pull here?
To be fair to that guy though... as it’s all a pipe dream anyway, why not dream it to happen right before your death so you can participate?!?
The Beatles Pink Floyd Run the Jewels Pearl Jam Mozart Tool I guess these would be mine. This is hard as hell.
the church the Black Crowes 92-96 line up the Verve, all instrumental set bc I hate the singer Little Feat Hendrix Band of Gypsies the Smiths
Vulfpeck: Start with getting a little funky. Townes Van Zandt: Some introspection and fingerpicking. The Mountain Goats: Raw and emotional. Let's get sweaty. Smog/Bill Callahan: More introspection this time with sarcasm. Astronautalis: Pick me up for the crowd. Maybe he would even do some freestyles about my life. Mount Eerie: Only play from A Crow Looked At Me. Bring the tissues folks.
Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats The Avett Brothers Delta Spirit Alice In Chains (with Layne Staley) Pink Floyd The Black Crowes
I would want to mix it up with my old go to`s.......I would want it to be a party!! Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb Willie and Waylon - Good Hearted Woman Beastie Boys - No Sleep till Brooklyn George Jones - He stopped loving her today Tupak - California Love Rush - Spirit of the Radio followed by YYZ as the encore
I'm sorry to keep causing issues, here. But if they are, for instance, able to resurrect half the Beatles just to play at your concert, why the hell don't they just resurrect you and obviate the need for a death concert in the first place?
