Robert Mueller, Former F.B.I. Director, Is Named Special Counsel for Russia Investigation

Russia did what they did in an effort to divide the nation, the left has let their tantrum over losing an election cause them to be constantly divisive rather than coming together. Many in this thread have actively called the president a traitor and have been looking to oust him from day 1, which is EXACTLY the kind of thing Russia wants. They want a constant investigation undermining the president and pushing Americans apart, they want the chaos, the left was only too happy to oblige....that's why it only took a small nudge to set all of this in motion. You have people on the left accusing anyone on the right of being a Russian bot, you have people on the left STILL to this day blaming Russia for them losing the election. All of this is what Russia wanted. They sought to divide and weaken America and Americans were happy to help with that goal, they are STILL happy to help with it and this thread is evidence of that.

The President's campaign adviser is in prison.

The National Security Adviser to the President has plead guilty to multiple felonies.

So if there was nothing to investigate, no ties to Russia, no ignoring the Saudis slaughtering a journalist, no lies on a daily basis, the left would still "throw a tantrum" about something?

The irony in this is the exact same thing the right did with Obama, where they just made up and ran with the whole birther movement, and that Obama was/is a closet moslem. Hell, your boy still believes that.

When those in power continue to whine and complain about how unfair life is (especially when they are hypocrites and are complain about the same stuff they do to others), it gets really, really old. Then they have this sense of entitlement, and do even more crying and complaining. It's truly fascinating.

Which is it? Hillary was grossly incompetent or Russia was wildly successful in getting Trump elected?

The reality is Hillary and Trump were terrible candidates. The reality is Russias influence was not that significant. Should Russia, or anyone, influence our election, regardless if its $1 or $100 million? The answer is no. Just like we shouldn't do it to other countries.

The point is .... its time to move on from all of this nonsense.

 

No it is not time to move on until we line up all the crooks and people in our country that helped Russia and deal with them. Benghazi took 3 years with no results, this is a little over a year.

The only reason to wrap it up, is because people don't want to get to the truth. **** THAT - if they broke the law, they do the time - regardless of party....

You are counting only a small fraction of IRA's operating costs. They have spent only tens of thousands on paid advertising, but they also paid salaries to employees, bought computers, paid overhead, etc. Probably still no where near $1.4B. So secondly you also have to consider the goals are different. Clinton is trying to get 50%+ of voters to vote for her. The IRA was just trying to move it by maybe 100 basis points by converting those cheapest to convert. There is no valid comparison between these two things.

Since this investigation has begun, every month a new 'smoking gun' that would most definitely send Trump to jail keeps coming up. "ooohhhh we have Trump now!!!!!"

There are hundreds of ways of moving it by a fraction. Russia was just 1 tick of hundreds.

Yes, I believe Russia was involved. I also believe China was doing their fair share of manipulation somewhere. Both countries have for years.

I also believe Russia primary goal is to simply seed discord through out our country. Preventing Hillary was a second. If we continue to carry this on for years, we are giving Russia exactly what they want.

Are you suggesting then that we ignore any improprieties that may have been committed by the candidate that Russia wanted to be our president because fighting about him just plays into their hands? If this is true, shouldn't it be incumbent on the Republicans to sacrifice Trump to restore harmony? After all, it would check two boxes: (1) no more fighting about Trump, and (2) remove the guy that Russia wanted as president.

 

Benghazi investigation was a partisan exercise.

Mueller's investigation is a criminal investigation, which has found criminals.
