You're the only one bumping this thread and we obviously know why How's this guy 'hurt' about the trade? Isn't he use to it by now? Didn't seem hurt when he was in Vegas when it all went down @Zboy
That's like a Harden fan trolling the OKC thread and constantly reminding their fans about him. But the problem is that fans of other players are not as insecure and cult like than Lin fans.
If you're here to talk about Lin as a Rocket, it needs to be in the GARM.. a place where Lin discussion is not beloved. In fact, he's often hated by Rockets fans because he openly stated he didn't want Melo by being a selfish basketwhore and he also lost us a series straight up. Usually Rockets fans prefer to reminisce about happy times. The love for Lin fizzled big time in the playoffs and then it got worse to the point where he's hated. I pretty much hate Lin and he's never welcome back in Houston unless he's playing for the away team as far as I'm concerned. The dude is awful, he keeps losing starting jobs and acting like a basketwhore about it. He isn't reliable, he causes losses, he's not a team player, and his fans are the worst fans I've ever come across. How could there possibly be any love here for your guy? Why not go to a Lin forum and speak your mind with like minded folks. I'm fine if you stay, but start trashing Jeremy Lin or you'll just look like a troll.
He's just here to make sure no Rockets fans say anything that's regarded as 'negative' about Lin. Especially basketball reasons. This is suppose to be Rockets fans talking amongst themselves about other NBA topics. Could you imagine if Clutch let in every fanbase who is sensitive to other fans opinions? We'd be trolled by Utah and Mavericks fans all day.
There's no such thing as a 'once a rocket always a rocket' that's something a Lin fan made up. Nobody likes Scottie Pippen who played for the Rockets. Thankfully he doesn't have a cult like following of fans trolling the Rockets. No Pippen Only fans troll the Rockets or Dwight Only Fans or Refer Alston Only Fans That dude's argument of why he's here is obviously false.
There is not much left to say about Lin as a Rocket, so I'm here in the Lin as a Hawk thread talking about how he is now. I disagree with your assessment of him big time. The only time he has lost a starting job because of his play is with the Rockets, and that was more about fit than it was about ability (if it was about ability, no way he would have been getting 28+ minutes off the bench). He wasn't supposed to be the starter for the Lakers, was thrust in there because of injury to Steve Nash, "lost it" because of the tank, and eventually won it back. Wasn't signed to be a starter with the Hornets, and never actually lost it with the Nets (injuries kept him off the court and eventually forced the trade, but he was the starter when he was healthy). He "causes losses"? He also "causes wins"...like every player. How is he not a team player? By most accounts, he is an unselfish team player. Casspi called Lin the best teammate he's ever had. Hornets and Nets say he had extremely positive influence on team culture. Linsanity was all about team play. That is insane to say he is not a team player. Lin-Only fans are awful, I agree. That's one of the reasons I don't go to Lin-only forums. I do not consider them to be like-minded folks with me. I am a basketball fan first, now back to being a Nets fan, too. And then I enjoy specific players, Lin being one of them. Why should I trash a player that I like?
An interesting article about Lin finding his footing in Atlanta: https://www.forbes.com/sites/howard...ketball-self-with-atlanta-hawks/#4461aeba7e9c "Even so, Pierce understands the value of Lin lies in his playmaking ability. It is the tragedy of his wasted, healthy seasons, when he was forced off the ball so much. To have Lin at his best means having the ball in his hands, and for so many, there is the frustration over knowing that we haven't gotten to see that very much, not since the Knicks chose to let the promising 23-year-old go for... Raymond Felton." Also: "Lin will face some additional turmoil over the coming weeks. The Hawks are building around Young, plenty of NBA teams need a point guard. A move to Orlando, where coach Steve Clifford absolutely loves Lin dating to his time back in Charlotte, would make plenty of sense. Don't expect this change to throw Lin, though." I said that Orlando would be a good fit for him a few weeks ago because they need a PG and Lin has a good relationship with Clifford. Let's see if it happens...
Said in the Melo thread that I tried to bait the LOFs from hiding in the Zhou Qi thread but no one responded because they are as extinct as Vince Young fans... and that's why there are no more Lin threads.
They were once everywhere in the Great Clutchfans Civil War. Harden threads. DMo threads. Yao threads. Beverley threads. Parsons threads. Dwight threads. LOFers infected all threads.
Dude, don't link Zhou Qi to Lin. They are both Asians yes, but one player has devote lunatic worshippers and it ain't Zhou. VY Fans are fans from Houston or attended the University of Texas. No LOFs ever cared about teams he played for. like zero.
Dr Zaus in Planet of the Apes knew how dumb humans got by reading what LOFs said on basketball boards
I think one major difference between Zhou Qi fans and Jeremy Lin fans is that Zhou's fans are generally basketball fans first, whereas many LOFs never had interest in basketball prior and therefore know very little about the game. Yes, almost all of Zhou's fans are Chinese, but most would know basketball basics and have realistic expectations. Many LOFs don't know the game of basketball, that's why some may truly believe that he has the potential to be better than Kemba Walker. In a way, LOFs are like the new Warriors bandwagon fans, especially the ones rich enough to attend the games. I remember during a televised Warriors home game, a call was made against Klay Thompson, and the fans were booing the refs. Then the replay in the arena showed that Klay clearly committed the foul without a shadow of a doubt, yet the fans were too dumb to recognize that and booed even louder. These fans are the ones I have zero respect for.
