You could definitely says that the Mueller probe is turning out poorly for Trump, since he with the very good brain keeps shooting himself in the foot ... on a daily basis.

Remember to vote in the midterm election. Trump is not on the ballot, but he kinda, sorta is.

As you fall asleep tonight, just keep repeating the mantra ... No Collusion ... and everything will be all right.

This Op-Ed was written by someone who has zero grasp on what the Dem base wants.

Also- Mueller won’t be issueing his final report (if that even exists) before the Dem House can complete an investigative report compiling all the evidence we already have into a easy to read road map that lays out the evidence that again .. we already have.. to clearly state this is a campaign that was at the very least unwitting participants in the plot to deceive American voters in concert with a hostile foreign power, and that Trump is seriously comprised enough with this foreign business dealings such as Trump Tower Moscow to warrant removal from office.

“The majority leadership for the House Intelligence Committee sends our recommendation to the House Judiciary and the House Majority Speaker to open an inquiry on the impeachment of Donald J Trump”.

Then the House Judiciary and Nancy Pelosi convene for a series of meetings and come to a conclusion that immediate impeachment is not warranted but have ordered a series of hearings that will essentially continue into the 2020 election cycle where the American people can be made aware of the truth to better make their decision fall next year.

    ...

So no, I think even if the evidence we have is all we have, there’s a mountain of circumstantial evidence to still reach damning conclusions but still not impeach Trump... and the Democratic base electorate would be perfectly okay with this approach.

Not sure if serious. This investigation isn’t the reason he can’t work with others and why he isn’t a leader.

I'm hoping it ends soon, but not so that Trump can lead without an investigation over his head. For one, I don't think the investigation has been much of a handicap for him on domestic matters (though it does impact his international diplomacy). And he had and mostly squandered his golden opportunity to get things done -- two years of unified government and the only major legislation he got was the tax reform bill. He spent most of his energy doing things that rely on his executive power -- like renegotiating NAFTA, setting tariffs, abusing migrant children -- that he could have done after losing control of Congress. It may have been smart for him to spend more time with McConnell and Ryan to get immigration legislation he likes, healthcare legislation, or whatever. Now that chance is gone. If he couldn't get a hostage Republican Congress to work with him, there is no way he'll get Democrats to. They'll be too busy launching new investigations.

I'll give him this credit -- he has a talent for picking his own issues and driving on them instead of being reactive to the discourse of the day. With a free hand, he would accomplish quite a bit in the sense that he would change a lot of things that we never thought needed changing. He's also good at leveraging his power to assert his will on decision-making, and his power as president is pretty considerable. However, he seems to be very bad at playing well with others, so when he makes an enemy of someone with their own base of power, he doesn't really have the toolkit for collaboration. That's why the fourth estate will never lay off and why the House will never reach a compromise with him.

^ @JuanValdez offers a not-at-all-ironic-take on a guy who, instead of fufilling the duties of his office, spends anywhere from 5-9 hours per day watching cable news and rage-tweeting on it.

I wonder how many pages this thread will be up to before either something serious happens or people give up thinking that anything will come from this. I'm thinking it'll be in the 400's easily.

I see your attempt to diminish what an enemy of the state has done to try and divide our country, and to deepen the discord among Americans.

It is funny how you interpret it from a materiality perspective, "they only spent $50K, so it's ok," for example. I interpret it as, "wow, how sad is it that that is all it took to be so effective." It's more a commentary on the people it worked on (not party specific mind you), but it's kind of ridiculous that you are not only justifying it, but actually defending Russia's actions.

It's even more funny IMO that people are doing their work for them by continuing to be divisive once they find out that Russia was funding extremist campaigns on the left and right in an effort to divide the country. Instead of having that knowledge pull the country together, you have partisans particularly on the left but also on the right actively doing Russia's bidding.....I mean, this whole thread is a good example of it.

How are people on the left actively doing Russia's bidding, specifically in this thread?

I see people on the left asking for all information, for a complete investigation, and to make those accountable for their actions. A staunch 3-4 Trump defenders feel differently. Seems like you might be projecting dude.

The propaganda was either 1) not effective as you claim or b) Hillarys 1.4B was ineffective.

If Hillarys campaign was so inept that her 1.4B war chest was was rendered useless due to outside influences of 50k, then Hillary has absolutely no business in office.

So which is it? Hillary is grossly incompetent or the outside influence was not just not that effective. Oh, and "both" is a valid option.
