Ackerman does a great job and tons of people seem to really like him outside of Houston fans

What exactly is stopping Calvin from getting on the play by play again?

If he’s half as amusing as he is on Twitter it would be so much fun

Another Negative Nancy thread. GIVE IT A REST!

Some of are not happy unless you're complaining about something.

Fact is that it's been downhill every since Calvin was removed. Bill and Bull are super repetitive cornballs. Clyde is clueless. Van was decent but his voice was awful.

i miss calvin and van chancellor -- true color commentators.

i don't mind bullard, but his corny jokes are a waste of air time. he needs to stick to more stuff like play analysis.

i also don't mind ackerman and actually like his enthusiasm, you can tell he's a real rockets fan.

the home crew is where i have problems. clyde is one of my all-time fav players but he's one of the worst commentators in the league. and worrell obviously used to be great but he's just too old now and his neverending mistakes are annoying AF when you're trying to follow a game.

Bull and Craig are great, we just need Bill back on the road.

yeah i think one of the real differences as well is in calling a game vs just commenting from the side. worrell makes a lot of mistakes confusing players and not being able to figure out what refs' calls are (bull and clyde typically have to correct him on these). similarly, marv albert is just not alert enough to accurately call a game anymore either now.

I would rather have Bull's corny than the bashing of players that other teams' broadcasters and national broadcasters use. Corny makes you laugh and smile, bashing pisses you off. I would rather laugh and smile/smirk.

Hell no I look forward when they are in the road to hear Craig and Bull. Better than bill worrell saying ooooo james harden with a cold blooded shot and it's real eric Gordon

Craig tries to hard to be witty or have cool phrases. Overall I can tolerate him on mute. Bull is okay, he just regurgitates too much lingo.
