Yeah, this "half and half" strategy isn't really optimal. They need to go "all in" on picks and cap space like what he Hawks are doing. You can't do it half ass.
If this guy's sole focus is to score as much as possible to try and inflate his value on the market, good riddance next summer. Gotta give him credit for transparency.
This guy can indeed score, especially if he's made a first option on a young Bulls team. However that may not be a good thing for the rest of their team. They maybe trying to get rid of him this time next year.
Yeah, we will just have to disagree. Getting a lottery pick and 2 first rounders is a pretty good reason; especially when doing the opposite limits your teams ability to improve to a point where you are actually a contender. As far as the draft being weak, that is yet to be determined.
Basically like Ariza, just to be able to trade him to a contender for an undesirable contract and a pick. I'm certain no one was competing with them at $20m though lol
yea but who's gonna trade for that albatross contract though. Ariza on one year deal and actually more valuable even tho he's older.
Lots of people. It's an expiring deal (next season is team option, which no one would exercise). Can't call an expiring deal an albatross. Let's say if you had Tyler Johnson or Hassan Whiteside or Ryan Anderson and you wanted to dump salary by attaching a protected first. The difference in Ariza and Parker's contract is $5m, so really any player between $15m and $20m on a bad deal could be dumped. Lots of bad contracts in that price range around the league.
Jabari’s career is going downhill pretty fast, he’s just not a valuable or impactful player How are u out of the rotation for the Bulls?? That’s not a good look.
another player casualty due to not having a true position in this era of the league. hes not a wing that can stretch the floor while being a defensive option. and hes not big enough to play as a rim protector
Thought @DaDakota mignt like that tweet quote from a coach discovered by Rudy, and further nurtured by Popovich.
I actually like Jabari Parker. He's a nice scorer that would benefit from a team that plays switching defense and he always plays well against LeBron. If he gets stretched I'd pick him up and start him at sf as long as PJ remains at pf. The bulls are a young team, Jabari would benefit from veteran influence from PJ and Chris. And probably going at Ennis in practice will build his defensive confidence lol
