I mean...I think he's been adjusting this season. I think he actually has been more flexible than you are giving him credit for. But, another time I guess lol, and there will be another most likely haha.
Play Harnstein at 4? Why not play him at 1 instead? Can you imagine 24 rebounds from the PG spot! Wow!
Congrats to Hartenstein is where he needs to be for now. If he can keep dominating for a bit in the G League and his NBA time show he will soon be a backup center. We do not need two backup centers right now.
Do certain guys get favorable treatment here based off their appearance? I would certainly hope not. But history supports my position more than not
I think most of the people here that want hartenstein to get mins also want Gary Clark to get mins . It has nothing to do with the fact he looks white . It's about wanting to give minutes to guys who might actually improve as the season goes along . Nene isn't going to find a fountain of youth . House isn't going to become a rotation player . Clark and Hartenstein have the ability to learn from mistakes and get better . Also , both those guys bring the hustle and energize the players around them . I will gladly trade some mistakes and missed shots in return for infecting the guys around you with energy.
AMEN, brother! Thats what drives me nuts with MDA (well one of the many things...lol) The dude refuses to develop anybody... if you're not already a starter, and cant hit the floor and show superstar potential in a few games - you are kicked to the curb and can languish on the bench... I guess because "the rotations are what they are" - and if somebody gets injured - well that just means the guys that are playing have to play more minutes... Like when Nene went down, and instead of playing Trez, he expected Harden to cover Pau and LMA... Melo got 10 games...???? Clark was out there - then disappeared.... but we'll sign him to a multi year contract... ...smh....
nba experience... this is his 3rd yr in nba Clark is a rookie and Hartenstein's first year in the bigs... you gotta have nba experience for MDA to have any level of 'trust'....
Personally , I think Clark and Hartenstein have better chances of becoming two way players . Plus , house has been around a bit whereas those two are true rookies and have the least amount of xp. Given that they've shown flashes that interests me . But also , I think there's only room to develop one of Clark and house and I would choose Clark . He can play bigger . Hartenstein might not be as good as house right now but he also plays C and therefore has more upside
A month ago, I would have just laughed and rolled my eyes. As of right now, I'm on board for trying anything. It's at that point.
Fair enough, I donno if slow foot speed is something that can increase over time in the Nba but I hope I'm wrong, I like Clark alot, but for right now I kind of get why MDA would play House over him.
dont get me wrong... i"m all for developing House...and Clark...and Hartenstein....heck, throw Qi out there during some garbage time... Against the Mavs we ran 33 yo PJ for 39 mins and 33 yo CP3 for 38.... thats a recipe for disaster - guys got no juice down the stretch and are just an injury waiting to happen...
