40-50% of the world's food being wasted is unacceptable and easily fixable if it weren't for big agro. If you reduce wastage to 20-25% - the 1 billion who go hungry most days will be nourished. We are seeing Argentina and Brazil wrecking large parts of the rainforest to industrially feed and grow cattle, the forest in Indonesia being destroyed for palm oil, and 40-60% of native species being destroyed over the last 50 years to feed unsustainable economic ideals of unlimited growth.

It's an incredibly inefficient process burdened by poor knowledge and infrastructure to make the change to sustainable crops. You have

More chemicals to mitigate the damage from chemicals? What would this fertilizer be made out of?

I have no idea what you mean by that last sentence, other than implying crop rotation is not used by poorer populations?

You are extremely invested in the top down industrial model that requires on land being exploited and destroyed to feed more and more people.

Not too different from electric boats, solar boats, or the usual alternatives to diesel. Google e-tolly.

What is your line of work, if I may ask? I urge you to look into the difference between the GDP and GPI (Genuine Progress Indicator) when trying to reason what progress and well being really is.

    Is France in decline? Yes.
Is the worst to come? It's happening now.
Is French civilization withering away? Is France a dumping ground for the third world?

He certainly is getting his revolution.

These violent protests organized by the alt-right is their typical MO to attacking leaders on the left. Macron has had a target on his head for a while, so it's no surprise that what began as a fuel tax protest was hi-jacked by the right-wingers in France

And... as this fact check proves, trump is lying. Again.

If they cannot get away with passing on the costs of the Paris Climate Accords in Paris, then where can they get by with it? This globalist left redistribution scheme is turning out to be a visible fiasco.

Americans don't let facts stand in the way of political convictions. Not real Americans anyway. The only letters we need to know in French are "É", "U", & "A."

When it comes to conservative Americans primarily Trump supporters "analyzing" the situation in France, they see Macron as someone against Trump therefore he is a leftist open borders socialist and the protestors are free market climate scienci denying libertarians.

That is how simple their minds are.

Ughh... we live in such a stupid political society where literally every time there is a conflict in the world it’s always a proxy war for Trumpism vs Ocasio-Cortez/Pelosi/Soros.

Understanding French politics and Macron’s popular standing has little to do with our right vs left bickering here in the states. In France the guy is hated by the left almost as much as he is from the right. And he was almost from the start.

Isn't that typical? They are all about getting free stuff and expect someone else to pick up the tab. Here they are being asked to pay for other people's free stuff, at significant cost to themselves, and they are not having it.

Socialism sounds great as long as you don't think about it too much. However, at the end of the day, the big problem with socialism is that it just does not work.

Macron is hated by everyone that hates neoliberalism, (or as people like Max Boot, Hillary Clinton, and corporate media pundits like to call it, centrism) which is pretty much everyone except those benefiting from the status quo. It's not strange that socialists and right-libertarians would both be supportive of the uprising.

In France, the middle and lower classes are much more willing to fight for things that are specifically for them. It is expected and not outrageous at all that people will fight for their own interests. The rich do it, the poor do it, and those in the middle do it. The synthesis of the opposing forces is balance and balance is fair.

In the United States, the rich have managed to rebrand that pejoritavely as unamerican selfish "class warefare" as they manage to push through another tax cut for the 1%.
