Who can we realistically trade for Ariza if he doesn't get bought out?

    Looks like the suns prefer trading him rather than buy him out, what can we offer that the suns would bite on? Since they still don't have a viable point guard, sending them back Brandon Knight would make sense. Or should we take our chances that he'll eventually get bought out?

    No one. Tilman's ego will be too big to accept a trade involving Ariza back when he could've signed him in the summer.

    Why would we do that? When we could have just signed him and kept whatever potential out going players would be.

    Trading for ariza will be the equivalent of us trading for Josh Smith in 2015. We will win a few games in a row say we are back then continue to struggle. We need major moves as in we need a 3 star or legit bench scoring

    Are we going to ignore Phoenix gave Ariza 15 mil just to sabotage Houston? Now they don't want him anymore? Nobody seems angry about that. The league doesn't want the Rockets to win. #neverforget

    It is already been stated that you can't trade back a player to the same team you got him from in I forgot how many days but we are not anywhere near that window.

    Ariza won't do diddly to help this team, their problems run far deeper than a decent wing. We were 14-1 without him last year, it's clearly not just his absence.

    For one, getting Ariza back will not solve the current issue. Suns will demand picks and Gordon for sure.

    76ers GM Elton brand made a basketball decision instead of analytics decision Morey made on Jimmy Butler.

    Brand won for now on that decision. Butler does worth Gordon plus Tucker.

    man i just dont see ariza being our one and only magical fix. weve got MAJOR depth issues thats more important than ariza right now

    Rockets missed out on the Butler deal. Dumb move to not give up the human chipmunk Gordon.

    You had a guy who is a two way star, fired up and would’ve been back in his home area. Team needed that injection of energy, grit and talent. If Gordon was the deal breaker then Morey made a huge mistake.

    incorrect, this does not apply. Ariza left in free agency which has nothing to do with your post. He can go anywhere he wants or be traded anywhere.

    it would apply if ariza was waived by the rockets or traded initially

    Getting Ariza for say Knight and a heavily protected pick (uhhhhh) would definitely help the depth issue we're facing. It will allow us to keep Ames Ennis aka poor man's Corey Brewer on the bench where he belongs.
    We'll be getting a 6'9 Swingman that can play the 3/4, guard 4 positions and space the floor as well as anybody in the nba. 15 million a year seems like a good deal.
