In that she's a bit of an airhead who is the butt of partisan jokes not entirely undeserved, yes. But she's a bartender that beat a very senior congressman in NYC in a primary challenge on a platform of advocacy for working Americans -- I won't take that away from her. My fear is that she'll be co-opted quickly by the forces of the status quo to submit to triangulation, but she earned her seat and she's new at the job.
So far she is doing very well on the not being coopted point. It is one of the reasons the righties are going nuts about her.
I think at the very least, one could concede that she represents a very under-represented constituency, and her being there is healthy for the House to better represent the people it governs, even if they think she's a joke.

No she is definitely more like Trump in how she goes about things (obviously their politics are opposite). She does the same thing that Trump does, she has her defenders just like Trump...... and she has clever one liners like Trump does as well. The only real difference is that she is 29 years old and not 72 years old. Her hyperbole and how she goes about it is very similar as well. It is kind of funny seeing Republicans get angry when she tweets a half truth or something that is false while the President is doing the same thing on steroids..... then again I think the similarities are lost on her supporters as well.

Absolutely. She's basically far-left (for American politics) Ron Paul, and if that's who her constituents want to represent them, it's none of our business and it's always good to have diversity of thought. That being said, if she plans on having any serious influence or national appeal, she should probably be juuuust a bit more careful and informed when she's making statements on national policy. She has said some blatantly silly and false things, and it makes her (and the Dems) an easy target/lightning rod for the Republicans.
