For some reason I don’t even let the losses stress me out. I think it’s because I know we’re going to be really good and making tons of shots by April. We started the season out bricking just so we can go crazy at the end to balance out all the averages.
We know who will win. The question is will the Rockets score more than 29 points in the second half, and 9 points in the quarter 4.
Call me a fake fan or whatever, but I'm considering intentionally not watching a game for the first time in about 6 years. I let these outcomes affect my mood way too much, even though I know it's illogical and silly in the big scheme of things. Feel like I need a break for my personal sanity, as lame as that sounds.
I’ve done that too.... this year and ummmm that other year that’s starting to feel like this year....... But I do believe we’ll turn it around tho....
Do it. Feels good. Catch some sleep or watch something else or do something fun. You'll find that afterwards you won't feel that you missed anything. And, even if you do feel like you missed something, it's no big deal because there are like 25 too many games in the NBA season so they will play again very soon.
I've been low like that before. I don't think it's lame, but I can't do it, and I've felt like doing it more than once, especially this season. I discovered that I feel worse if I let my dread of yet another humiliating loss, beating my poor battered psyche senseless, to cause me to miss a game in an attempt to spare myself the agony. So I bite the bullet and watch the damn thing. There's always the possibility that they'll play like it's possible for them to play. It's a diabolical tease. They show that side of themselves just enough to keep a glimmer of hope alive. That they will right the canoe. Besides, I think we'll win this one.
