Trump didn't work with foreign adversaries to undermined and defraud our democracy either, or rather there's never been even a shred of evidence suggesting that he did. At this point that kind of talk might as well be ranting about chemicals in the water turning the frogs gay.

Now sure, if some evidence surfaces and the conspiracy theory is proven true, that would change things. I said that it would have to be significantly worse than perjury and obstruction of justice, and the conspiracy theory nonsense about Russian collusion would qualify as worse.

That said, if Mueller ever comes out with anything on Trump and it's either unprovable he said/she said type stuff or merely innuendo, you shouldn't expect that to go anywhere or be a lasting stain. That or if there is some kind of relatively minor completely unrelated to Mueller's initial mandate type offense brought up, it just won't cut it and would turn the majority of the public against the Mueller investigation as nothing more than a really expensive waste of time witch hunt by partisans upset they lost fair and square.

IMO there's a lot more scenarios where the Mueller investigation goes wrong than when it goes right.

We don't know for sure what Trump did or didn't do. You can speculate if you wish. I'll wait for the report. We know from what has been released so far that his campaign absolutely had an interest and most likely an attempt to defraud the United States in conjunction with foreign adversaries. I don't know what the final report will entail.

I think you can actually see the tension on that front row.

Ready for...what? A long pointless discussion, inappropriate in this thread anyway, where no matter what is said your mind won't change? Pass....

Great eulogy by W, very clear how much his father meant to him. I thought Brian Mulroney's eulogy was also good.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to listen to some of the interactions.

It's the longest amount of time he's been forced to not watch Fox News or play on his phone.

If the rumors about him being hooked on strong stimulants for decades are true then it might be the longest he's had to sit in one place in years.

Credit to Trump for not making Bush's funeral all about him.

lol, he made a deal to "act presidential". He wouldn't show restraint otherwise.

The press ofc, is spending nonstop attention to something otherwise mundane with any other president, as if the encourages good behavior.

    Bravo Donnie!

Just drove past the hearse heading the other direction on I-45. Odd that they flew him via Hobby instead of, you know...

    George Bush Intercontinental.

I think it's much more likely that they used Ellington Field, but it is funny that they didn't use the airport with his name on it.

RIP, I have talked to one of George HW Bush's chauffeurs and the folks at one of his favorite BBQ joints They liked him.

The United States is now in the midst of a grotesque canonization of one of its imperial saints, George Herbert Walker Bush.
This week on Intercepted: an honest memorial service for an unrepentant warmonger who dedicated his life to militarism, war, coups, regime change, and the lies of “American exceptionalism.” Jeremy Scahill details the crimes of Bush, the sick propaganda of the corporate media memorials, and the trail of blood, death, and tears Bush leaves behind. Independent journalist Arun Gupta covers decades of Bush, from his time at the helm of the CIA to the presidency. Gupta discusses Bush’s support for Manuel Noriega and his eventual invasion of Panama, the pardoning of Iran-Contra criminals, the dirty wars in Central America, the support for Saddam Hussein, and the launch of the Gulf War. Acclaimed Iraqi poet and scholar Sinan Antoon describes his life under the U.S.-backed dictatorship of Saddam, the horrors of the Gulf War, and how Bush’s destruction of Iraqi civilian society led to the rise of ISIS.

What an endearing act of kindness and warmth; this is how decent human beings interact. Too bad we're stuck with our mistake-in-chief who demeans and diminishes the office of the president and the nation.
