I don’t know. We should be down. I don’t see too many teams ahead of us that are likely to stink it up. On top of that, we talk as if we’re the only team on the outside looking in. We’re grouped along with Utah San Antonio and New Orleans. We’re past a quarter of the season. Anyone who thinks posts like this are dramatic and we shouldn’t be in panic mode isn’t being realistic. What’s realistic is that Chris Paul will not play every single game remaining. What’s realistic is that we already lack major depth, and a missed game by any of our major players makes it likely to be a loss.

What’s realistic is our season is going to get tougher, and what’s realistic is that we don’t have great assets to make major improvements to our team.

I don't think Atlanta would release him. Further, if he were release I don't think that he would have any interest in playing under Daryl Morey. Lin is still butt hurt. However, IF Atlanta release him and Lin wanted to be a Rocket, I am sure the Rockets would add him. For as bad as he is at switching, he is still a good offensive player.

Rox are the foil they need. Not the team they deserve.

I bet trade is a better thought than buyout.

Highly unlikely Lin and Ariza will be bought out.

I still like us in a 7 game series against anyone outside of GS. Everyone all up on the Lakers while they beat tons of mediocre-bottom feeders. Who have they beat? Denver. Good W. Portland so on and off, Utah under performing as much as Houston. Indy without Dipo. .500 and below teams for most of their W's.

It's mostly that 3 game skid without CP3 that has us looking so horrible-standings wise relative to the rest of the league(and not our homer expectations of being 22-1 or something). There's no excuse to have lost to Cleveland, Washington and Dallas 3 in a row. We'd be sitting same record as LAL with a more difficult schedule even with those inexcusable blow outs and flat out pathetic play in some of the earlier losses where we looked like we barely even participated in those games. Unfortunately our schedule isn't getting any easier until January so LA can pile up W's while playing 1 decent team out of every 5+ games, but our difficult schedule will have tested us early, and IMO, i think we will benefit from that in the long run- if CP3 can stay healthy of course.

We've already played everyone in our division. Lakers have only played the Suns twice and Kings once. They don't have to see GS or LAC till the end of the month. Ridiculous. I'll start to raise my brows if they come out of their next 5 undefeated or 1 L only. (back to back vsSA/@SA, @Memphis, Miami, @houston)

Who? The Jazz without CP3, Cavs and Mavs just bad losses also without CP3. Both the Cavs and first Mavs games the Lakers barely came out with the W. They beat the Wolves, sure by 4pts. They also lost to them. And Portland. We haven't had a chance to beat the teams we stumbled against the first match.
We beat the Warriors, and Nuggets convincingly, Pacers with Dipo, the Lakers themselves, blew out the overachieving Kings, the Pistons, and destroyed the Spurs. Lakers only faced the Nuggets, Pacers without Dipo and lost to Spurs twice and about to play them back to back next 2 games. We'll get our second chance to beat Utah, Dallas and Portland at full strength in the next 3 games and then beat the Fakers again. Aint no thang.

The Rockets will be fine. We need a minor mix up, yes, but mostly the whole league playing pretty evenly right now. Our issues are overblown. We just need CP3 to be 100% and start hitting his usual shots and Gordon to go on a hot streak and Jeff will get the defense back on track soon enough.

When you look at the standings , it doesn't say who suited up or who didn't …. it doesn't say who won by how many points , just that its a W or an L.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass when he hops … IF if and buts were candies and nuts , wouldn't it be a merry Christmas.

Our issues are not overblown. CP3 obviously isn't near 100% healthy and probably never will be this season and maybe never will be for an entire season again.

As currently constructed , this looks like a .500 team at best. Time to call in the cavalry …. Getter done Morey.
