1. Where is Clark? What did he do to lose minutes? 2. Where is Hartenstein? What did he do to lose minutes? 3. House is looking good but I did not see lot of him in the second half 4. I like Green but when he does not have hit . .. you have to sit him 5. Green and Gordon cannot have off nights on the same night and play major minutes These two might need to be put on a short leash and have the green light removed 6. NeNe coming back from major injury . . .why are we playing him so much? I understand a 7 man rotation but I think Clark and HArtenstein earned some burn We need these hungry players playing Rocket River
All those reasons are the reasons we are a .500 team... It's a problem if you are looking for anything but minor contributions from those players mentioned...
We were up 19 5 minutes of burn from them could not have been worse than what we saw tonite The Legs came from under the Rockets . .. it is very evident Rocket River
It's hilarious how confident everyone was after we beat two sub .500 teams. The truth is we have some serious depth issues Morey hasn't addressed yet and we're just another .500 team in the west this year if no big trades happen. Being .500 this year in the west means we'll be one of the worst seeded teams and won't make the playoffs.
In regards to Clark, looks like the Rockets coaching staff likes House and also Green is back as well as Nene added to the mix.
And it was also against the TWolves... Those players should be playing in the 4th after a blowout, not during crucial situations... Being up big early in the 3rd doesn't mean you bring the scrubs in... That lead would've been lost quicker than what we saw tonight...
Most of the bench belongs on the Vipers. It's a big problem. The starters will be dead by the all star break at this rate.
It's standard MDA... short rotations... weighing to heavily on starters... only playing guys he 'trusts'... rather than developing guys... refusing to adjust bc 'we're just gonna play our game...' this is what he has always done....
For real what did happen with Clark? I know offense/shooting can come and go but he was being praised for doing those little things defensively that made the team better. Always in the right spot, making the right play. Did he stop doing those things?
Minny turned it on like a mad man in the 2nd half, and we went cold. The biggest question is really why did we only score 9 points in the 4th? Clark is not the reason or solution.
I joined this site to talk rockets, but honestly I regretting it as this place is so damn bipolar. I get it the team is struggling but the extremist attitudes gets so boring
I agree with most of OP's questions . In particular tonight I feel MDA's biggest mistake was Nene . It was clear he didn't have it tonight . I love the big fella and he deserves a chance to work himself back ... but you can't force it . This **** will cost you games . Nene -18 in 10 minutes . Clark or hartenstein needed those minutes after Nene picked up his second foul in the first half . I don't like playing our "death lineup" unless it's absolutely necessary. Playing Gordon harden and Paul at the same time is awesome .... but it also stresses the mins needed from those guys . I can understand it if our last ditch effort to come back .... but we played it in the first half . At least wait until knight is back so we have depth. We could have even used PJ and played small instead of playing nene by using Clark to give him a break when Clint checked back in . The story of the game was no doubt is going completely cold from 3 and MIN catching fire in the second half .... but ... MDA played it a little too cute with minutes . Nothing kissed me off more than seeing a double digit loss and our starters playing heavy minutes . It's a lose lose .
I think Clark and Hart must have lost some favor during our most recent losing streak. We had some pretty bad losses to horrible teams when those 2 were getting more minutes. Clark looks like he lost a little confidence in his shot. Hart was hustling, but we were still getting our butts kicked. House was brought in because they desperately need bench production. We have the least productive bench in the league. Unfortunately Clark and Hart just were not producing enough. They are young and have some long term potential, but the team is supposed to be in win now mode. I love Clark, and have hopes for Hart, but I understand why MDA had to cut there minutes. The team is getting desperate, and the clock is already ticking.
they were packing the paint 2nd half. would have helped our offense immensely to have a 3pt shooting big. i don't know if hartenstein could have guarded KAT at all though. but in any case, capela was horrid on the boards in the 2nd half and nene was a disaster overall. so i would have actually tried the rook. but in the larger picture, morey has completely failed this season. all these losses with our starters getting tired are on his stubborn ass.
