We could survive the loss of Ariza/Luc WITH CP3 playing, but without? That's a massive amount of veteran leadership and consistent play on both sides of the court that's permanently missing from the game. And to think we're trying to replace that with rookies? That's why we're losing.

good news guys! we are 5 losses away from being the worst team in the league! Zion is closer to us than you'd thought!

Well, we're yet to see Morey build a team from absolutely zero, Like get a #1 draft pick and start from there (If it's still even the age of Moreyball by then).

Zion would provide the depth we need. All in for Zion!

Hahaha. That puts things in perspective.

I was watching the game with my wife. She let out a big yawn and said "the Rockets are so boring this year". This isolation, no movement, 3 ball has run its course. It's lazy and boring.

The thing is, I'm not even that upset like I was during the dwightmare. It's because I still haven't recovered from the refs screwing us over last year. I really don't know that I ever will trust that this league isnt rigged. It's kind of made it like watching wrestling now. It's sort of entertaining but not really.

I'm still kind of hoping they will turn it around. I'm also still hoping I'll convince myself that it really isn't rigged and the conference finals last year was just bad luck on inocently missed calls.

We've lost plenty this season with CP3 in the team, so I don't see him making much of a difference when he returns.

We have an awful bench, and too many players are playing well below their best. The only player who has been consistent all season long is Harden.

If I am the owner of the Rockets I want a plan to salvage the season and I want it now. I didn't pay millions for this. Get real, get radical, whatever it takes, but this is not acceptable. The Rockets will fight harder, play better, or else heads are going to roll beginning at the top.

I was thinking the same....this may be the game that gets our SF’s going. 36 points between the two (House/Ennis).

Get better efficiency wise and clean up their defensive rotations a bit.

Add CP3 and Gerald Green to the mix.

    Both.

I have heard a few people say he looked like he was in pretty good shape earlier this summer and that his attitude was much better and more positive (he was strongly disliked by the Suns organization for a poor attitude).

However I had a Suns employee that has been there for 17-18 years tell me point blank Knight is toast as a world class athlete. This same person worked with Grant Hill and other injured Suns players and worked miracles with them. If he flat out tells me that Knight is done after working with him for three seasons, I tend to believe him.

Knight had surgery nearly two years ago on his ACL. He was not entirely happy with the results and he had a cleanup done this summer with Dr. Flores monitoring him. I think expecting a marginal starter to comeback and be productive after multiple years and surgeries is a lot to ask, especially at the guard spot.

I really don’t think expecting help from players on the roster already is foolish. Nene is quite old and injury prone. It is extremely iffy to expect him to contribute and avoid future injury. Same with Brandon Knight. Obviously Paul being healthy is huge but he should be on a minute restriction and not playing back to backs and is an injury risk. Gary Clark defends well but he is a zero on offense so he is very limited. Gerald Green only does well when surrounded by other good players and we lack the depth. Ennis is fine if the other holes are filled and he moves to a bench piece... the rest (other than Gordon) are just not NBA rotation players.... so the help has to come outside the organization in trade.

Not sure this season can be saved, to be honest. It'd be better if there was a single issue plaguing the Rockets that can be fixed with some roster changes, but it's always something different with this team. Get destroyed in the paint during one game. Get destroyed by long 2s in the next game. Get destroyed by 3s in the next one. Get destroyed by rebounding. Get destroyed by turnovers. Like WTF is wrong with the Rockets? It's so bizarre...
