if i was playing 2k, yes i'd trade him. however in real life you have to consider that he took less money last year to join us. sure he got reimbursed nicely this summer, but trading him now would give us a bad reputation with players and agents. his age and salary are both going in the same direction but he's here to stay until the end of the contract whether we like it or not or if its a good basketball move or not. the only way forward will be the cheap talent of rookie contracts
So if you're saying Chris Paul isn't enough to keep AD around I wonder why it's a foregone conclusion he's the answer next to James and all it would require was minor tweaks.
lol, no they wouldn’t they wish they could turn someone like AD into Harden who is locked up until 2023 and even better player than AD is
of course he’s not enough to keep AD...the dude is 34 yo/injury prone, and the rest of the roster is pretty much garbage Why the hell would AD re-sign to play with aging CP3 and a bad roster when he has options? Anyone who is talking about us only needing minor tweaks is severely misguided. What we need is a 3rd star, but we keep striking out.
Harden is not getting traded. Just stop. The guy is averaging out of this world numbers right now. He has had two 40 plus games along ten assists followed by a couple of 30 plus and a 54 points 14 assists and tonight 25-17 assists 12 boards game on insane effencient clips. He is the least of our problems
His walking carousel defense is definitely a problem. Him pretending that that NBA players don't have arms on defense when he passes the ball is a problem.
When he passes the ball is a problem? You know he is averaging 14 assists in the last five games?the guy is universally regarded as one of the best passers in the league and one of the best if not the best pick and roll passer ever.
FChowder the notorious Lin troll with his anti harden rants is back and as for this thread CP0 laughing all the way to the bank
That explains everything. How can anyone blame Harden for this mess unles you have a personal agenda is mind numbing stuff
Harden is what we should be building around not a Paul and Harden. Paul has value and is an once in a generation player. He needs a new home where he can be himself perhaps in Lakerland. His temperamental self just isn’t a Texan. There is nothing wrong with him; he just doesn’t fit. He can take his front office house mouse self back to California where he blends with his kind.
No they have shown they can play extremely well together so the fit is not the issue moreso the health and the lack of cap felixibility
CP3 the player is wonderful. The contract, restrictions on play of back to back games and overall entitlement is the rub. 1/3 of the cap on a temperamental fragile ego. His whole situation is a big “what if” with more questions than answers.
I don't care for Harden getting stats in these situations. Obviously he will get numbers, there's quite literally no one else that can handle the ball on this team. The system isn't set up for him to do this like in 2016-2017. That season we caught everyone by surprised by our system, EG, Ryno were getting wide open threes, teams have since figured us out.
At what point do we question whether CP3 is a double agent still on the Clippers' payroll. Taking us down from the inside, as payback for the come from behind playoff series win over the Clippers?
