    Just like 15-16
    Team is a mess
    Roster sucks
    Coaching sucks
Harden is scoring but is just giving the ball away
    . 500 or worse
First round exit if they make it

    Not the same team

resting cp3 is clearly a sign were not taking these games seriously...we would have won all these 3 games in a blowout fashion if we really needed them to win a title

Do not be delusional. We said the same thing about 6th seed champs during the Ty Lawson season. Then as 8th seed we said if we beat the warriors no one else could stop us.

We also said it several times during the Yao/Tmac era and even during the 14th pick seasons.

Dream is a once in a lifetime player. Go watch his tapes if you dont believe me.

resting cp3 isn't about not taking these games seriously. if you haven't noticed this team doesn't exactly have some massive room for error and just taking games off. it's about if the team is actually discipline enough to take care of business. obviously the answer was no in these games. it says more about the team being lackadaisical and lack of focus rather then if this team had cp3 they would of won.

no, it’s a sign that they don’t want their 160 mil investment to break down in the 1st year of his 4 contract

Rockets 9-10 and you’re talking about them deciding not to take games seriously...lol, man please

If the owner is as delusional as you, we are screwed. This team had 3 Gleague type talents playing big minutes last night. We are half a Gleague team now.

He is not absolutely wrong, this Rox team is the best at running their mouth, the very best at giving you hope one moment by playing elite Defense, and giving absolute no energy and no effort the other moment.

Morris, Satoransky and Green would all be nice depth pieces on the Rockets. Guys that can play multiple positions and be able to create their own offense as well.

i watched almost every single game during ty lawson season and this is not the same team...when they are serious cp3, harden will make any bunch of scrubs nba champions
these are the defending champions(notwithstanding adam silver refusal to acknowledge it through his refs), they are just coasting tru meaningless november games.. doubters would be the first to blame morey cp3 and harden if they got injured now for not saving themselves for playoffs

you dont win no titles in november doubters

this is a marathon not a sprint

Pretty incredible what we got from Harden and Gordon last night and didn't win. And yeah, you can blame Harden for the TOs, but the guy was GASSED. C'mon.

Team was playing hard. But the team has SUCH WOEFUL DEPTH (plus the injuries) that they played HOUSE 28 minutes! I mean, c'mon.

This Rockets teams cannot survive with both Harden and CP off the floor. They need 1 of their engines running at all times in MDA's offense. Gordon does not run things. They can't throw out there MCW. Backup PG is a NEED position.

MDA's entire offense is built on PG as the engine. Have to have 48 minutes of engine.

you dont win no title in november

harden took a g league team to 2nd seed and wcf in 2015... hardly anyone from that team is still in the league and its not because of their age

I am sure Morey is watching the WC standings. There has to be a threshold where he would turn to making the "depth move" over holding out. We don't know what that is. And then there is December 15th as another key date.

The Rockets are 3 games in the L column out of second place in the West. The Rockets are a 1/2 game out of the #8 seed. I am sure Morey feels the Rockets are still in striking distance.

The question is, what is the threshold where a move has to be made. Clearly we are not there yet.

As fans, it is frustrating though.

Imagine having a team with SEVEN (of your 15) roster spots taken up by detritus. And having 2 rookies (Clark/Hartenstein) playing key roles off the bench.

    - MCW
    - Chriss
    - Knight
    - Melo
    - Nene
    - Zhou
    - {Empty roster spot - though likely to be used for Clark's conversion}

That's the thing. MDA's offense is based on the PG as the engine. Need 48 minutes of engine. Not even asking for "48 minutes of hall of fame PG play." Just 48 minutes of "competent PG play." If CP is hurt, what happens to the minutes when Harden has to take a rest? There it is. Gordon is not an engine. Knight is not an engine.

So yeah, Morey has to take a long look at this and provide a competent backup PG for THE DURATION of the CP/Harden Era.

fwiw: since the final spread was -4, Harden was +11 in 42 regulation minutes. Rockets were -11 in the 6 he sat.

Knight may give us that spark we need if and when he comes back healthy. Maybe like Lou did 2 years ago and GG last year. Knight would give us legitimate guard play when Harden or Paul sits. It's a reach, but it's something we are desperately lacking right now, especially with Gordon struggling as a sixth man this year.

I would not call it a marathon. The season is around 5-6 months and there is a 4 month recess and half a month of preseason.

    It's probably a 3K to 5K meters run.
