The only player available so far come January is Kevin Love

If it’s for picks, Knight, Chriss, Nene, and other minsal contracts, I have no problem doing this trade. Love would be a great fit and give the Rockets more versatility.

If we have to give up Tucker or Gordon...nope. Can’t afford to lose depth at this point.

Not a fan, i would've traded Gordon and three 1st rounders for Butler before i trade two without Gordon for Love. And btw another team will probably offer more than that anyway so...

 

I don't know man. Love was one of the few Cavs that actually held his own against the Warriors the past few years.
Looking at the roster I don't think Morey can be too picky. Adding an all star PF that shoots and rebounds wouldn't be the worst thing.
Actually the Cavs roster has a bunch of roleplayers that would help the Rockets.

No thanks. His contract isn't horrible, as it declines a bit at the end. But he isn't the type of player who works with our defense (or, rather, what our defense is supposed to be).

If he played alongside Clint I think he'd be picked on too much, and if he played C instead of Clint he would be a far worse interior defender.

It might just depend on the price. If we get him for really cheap, sure. Yes, he won't be able to play against the Warriors, but we aren't beating the Warriors this year anyway. So if it's a great value trade like BK + stuff then maybe I'm ok with it.

 

People really want to have both CP3 and Kevin Love’s contracts on our books? Both are aging and injury prone. Kevin Love has played in just 60 and 59 games the past 2 seasons, and this season he’s only played in 4. Kevin Love will be picked on relentlessly in our switching scheme, and he’s not of much use against GS.

if you’re just desperate for regular season help and have given up all hope for winning a title in Harden’s prime, then sure, lock in a Big 3 of Harden, 34 yo injury prone CP3, and 30 yo injury prone Kevin Love
