Really puts things into perspective to see the Rockets *6th man of the year* and *NBA 3pt champion* slumming to that level. No wonder Thibs passed on the Rockets Gordon+2 Firsts deal.
Gordon's 3PT% as a Rocket has regressed from Day 1 compared to his career history. Then subsequently, it regressed each season after that initial regression.
EG has been trash from 3 but he doesn't screw up the spacing like MCW, defenses still respect his range He's also a better defender and finisher at the rim.
Does this guy even practice? He use to have a pattern of fresh legs, automatic shot but this season even at the beginning when he had his legs his shot wasn't there.
Post-trade rumors hangover. He's not in a good place right now. I can imagine he's wondering what he's even doing here, especially knowing that at any moment he could (should) be traded.
He'll be alright. It'll fix itself. We have other bigger problems that actually need attention. Things that wont fix themselves.
Perhaps that's part of his problem, but it shouldn't be, not to this extent. Any player, including superstars, can be traded, and sometimes are. We've all seen that. Every player goes through slumps, but his slump has been particularly frustrating, because when he's playing like he's been capable of playing in the past, he has a really positive impact on the court. He's a very important part of the rotation, as everyone knows. I hope he breaks out of his funk, and he does appear to be in a bit of a funk, very soon. Preferably in time for the next game.
