    32/24% and 13.9 points on 14.8 shots > Gordon
    45/33% and 22.2 points on 19.5 shots > Thompson

These are not even remotely comparable.

He couldn't hit the side of a barn towards the end of last season. This is a long slump, kind of like Ryno's. He needs to come closer to the basket, get his range, and then move out.

The never ending shooting slump of Eric Gordon

It’s shocking to see him jack up 8-9 3s a game at such an atrocious clip

Actually, it’s not shocking considering his shot selection and distance. Someone tell this fool that he ain’t Steph Curry

ryan wasnt in a slump an entire season, only a few weeks.... he shot an awesome 39% from the 3 on the season ...Gordon on the other hand was slumping the entire last year except for 2 months

I think at this point, this is certainly not the regular player slump. If an injury is the cause though that does change things, but I don't know if that is the case.

Gordon is streaky, but obviously this is far more than streakiness. The team certainly needs to find some solution. Like I posted in the other thread, Rockets just went 5-1 and Gordon averaged 11 ppg on 30% FG, 26% 3PT and 44% TS. It is definitely atrocious, no doubt about that.

I think the other fear the Rockets will start to have is that, especailly with the defense not being at the same level, when the playoffs roll around can they survive an Eric Gordon slump that could last multiple rounds?

I know it’s been mentioned, but certainly the fact that he’s our #1 trade bait (or, rather, he was) must be playing on his mind.

I’m surprised we’re treading water so far. We traded Anderson for players who never play (please, God, let a trade involving them materialize soon) and EGO has sucked more ass than R. Kelly ever did.

    Come on, December 15th?

To be fair on EG. His "defense" in the Rockets switching scheme has been pretty good. His strong lower base is important against post players in switches. There is value there. BUT yeah....the offense is brutal right now.

That was a layup.... I'm talking about his shooting.... Klay has had multiple great shooting games already... Gordon has zero... And his slump is next level bad.

It's the 3 point shot that's tanking everything, he's still effective as a driver(though this my eye test and nothing more)...I just, he just needs to fix his shot. I just dont believe its mental especially without proof. I know he's sucking right now but I'm not ready to give up on him, he can still turn it around.

I don’t understand how one game tying layup made in one whole season has anything to do with his horrendous shooting this year. Didn’t nick johnson win a game for us on a last second layup? Lol

Nick Johnson also had a game winning layup for us one game. Obviously Gordon is far superior than nick Johnson but I’m just saying that one layup doesn’t move his horrendous shooting average in almost 20 games in. other poster put up klay’s stats so I won’t repeat that one. I’m hoping it evens out like all of us here are but he would have to shoot like over 50% for rest of the season to be at his average

But that's how he's been shooting his 3s since he came here. Unfortunately, they're just not going in so far. I'm sure by the end of the season, the law of average will work itself out and he will at least make 33% of his 3s. I just wished he would drive in more often than settling for 3s though

he probably will in playoffs, now its not worth it because of higher risk of injury

This is at least the second time that you have compared a few game slump from a HOF player and one of the best to do it to Gordon

EG isn’t Chris Paul and this slump is not a slump anymore. It’s his norm

Imagine if we had an actual 6th man of the year type of player on the bench.

Eric Gordon has a PER currently of 7.62. You read that correctly -- 7.62.

If Morey can replace him with someone like Bradley Beal (who's also 4 years younger), this team could be sick.
