Gerald Green touched the ball 2 times tonight and jacked up 2 wild threes within half a second of touching it.

Melo at least gets into triple threat...

...A fact that SinceEverSince will no doubt find of some consolation when we do not reach the WCF this year.

    It's a result oriented league.

Gordon has been on this team for a while and has had his streaky moments before and helped the team win, and we are still winning with him struggling.

Melo is a scrub and was killing this team with his play.

No surprise we went to Rockets ball with the scrub gone!

If you are a Rockets fan, you should be thankful Morey dumped that scrub!

Well, even during his shooting slump, Gordon is still a very active and energetic player, who is a threat to drive and create opportunities for himself and others. We saw this when he got to the basket for the game tying layup. Melo is just not athletic enough to do that anymore. Even when he’s missing shots, Gordon brings energy and activity. Melo does not.

What would Melo have done had he gotten the ball with 2 seconds left? Contested long 2, most likely. It’s just not what the team needs.

Yet the numbers all pointed to Melo being far and away our most detrimental rotation player. The ONLY player that was getting any kind of minutes who was hurting us more was MCW and you see where he’s at now.

I don’t understand why some of y’all are ignoring all the stats that have been thrown out about just how much better we played with Melo off the court vs on.

His net rating is 361st in the league. Down there with all the suns and hawks and cavs players.

No one currently getting minutes is anywhere near that bad. Despite his piss poor shooting, Gordon has a POSITIVE net rating.

Incase some of y’all missed it, Morey is our GM. He’s a numbers guy. The numbers are ****ing clear. Melo was not working and we don’t have time to see if it would get any better when it was as bad as it was.

    Yup.

    Melo was trash.

No surprise we started moving the ball much better and our offense started to click after the scrub was gone.

I almost respect the zero ****s given when he touches the ball. Some of the wildest shots I’ve ever seen

What don’t you understand about harden and cp3 being awful was the main issue ? Everything begins and ends with them. Melo had nothing to do with how they were performing. Now that they are playing better, so is the team. I bet if you reinserted Melo now and gave him greens minutes the team wouldn’t miss a beat. He is a better player than green no question.

Criticize Gerald Green all you want, I get that, but your defense of Melo ignores the reality that the team was much better when he was not on the floor. He should not be here, if you care about Ws and Ls. If he had been playing during the recent winning streak, it likely wouldn't have been a winning streak.

I guess I’m not explaining it well.

Every other player on the team, even when Harden and Paul started slow, were statistically light years better than Melo. Not by traditional box score numbers, I’m talking about net rating and on/off numbers.

Teams were murdering us with Melo on the floor. At every point of this season. At a whole different level, other than our super duper scrubs that don’t ever play.

Y’all are willfully ignoring the factual evidence for some reason. I don’t get it.
