Linsanity is just a streak where one player played well and was invented by Mike D’Antoni

Once people figured out Lin’s limitations and inconsistencies then he went to the bench

And he’s really been a bench player ever since.
He choose to go to the nets and not go back to the hornets
He chose the worse team cause he wanted to start over wanting to win

    He belongs in Atlanta
The nets picked up Napier another point guard after trading Lin

Dragic and Lowry were great and didn’t get the attention from non Rockets fans

You can’t come up and lecture Rockets fans who watch rockets games for many years
    @apollo33 @Zboy

This is exactly why we hated the lof

Hey, you acknowledged that he's at least a bench player. Progress! Yes, on a team that has a quality starting PG like Kemba Walker or James Harden, Lin brings a lot to a team coming off the bench and leading a second unit. He earned votes for 6th man while in Charlotte, and if that's a role that a good team wants him to play, he will do it and be a positive contributor to the team (just like he did in his second year in Houston).

Atlanta clearly does not want him in that role. They are not trying to win games, they are trying to develop Trae Young and John Collins.

I still don't get why you guys think it's a bad thing to believe in yourself and want to lead a team to respectability rather than give up on your dreams and be a backup as you enter the prime years of your career. In the Nets, he chose a situation that he believed would allow himself to become the player he imagined himself and help a franchise turn around at the same time. Harden could have chosen to take a lesser role on OKC behind Westbrook and Durant...but he chose to go somewhere that was willing put the team on his shoulders.

    I'm not lecturing.

Dragic and Lowry are great players. They were not great when they played for the Rockets.

And fwiw, I watched just about every game Yao played for the Rockets, so I have a good history with the team as well.

lol....not the first time he has been caught lying and making stuff up to make his scrub hero look good.

He has a history of that.

Lin was a disaster at the Rockets which is why it was so hard for Morey to trade him away and get anything in return. That's not even up for debate lulz...

Your story of a die hard nets fan doesn’t correlate to anything you say.
All the Yao fans were here on clutchfans and they were significantly different than Lin fans.

Also the majority of rockets fans regret having Lin over dragic and Lowry . There have been many threads during Lin’s tenure here stating this

Obviously this all based on basketball reasons

But we know Lin fans aren’t about basketball reasons

He’s not debating he just goes on boards to ensure nothing perceived negative is written about Lin
Even if it’s the truth. Lin is on a team that is tanking on purpose and it’s been like three pages of him not believing that they are tanking
I’m sure if Lin wasn’t on the team he would say they are tanking

What did I say that was against the idea that I was a die hard Nets fan?

And why do a Rockets fans regret having Lin over Lowry or Dragic? Signing Lin had nothing to do with letting either of those guys go.

You said you were a huge Nets fan.

Do all lin fans make up so many stories that they forget them?

Lin was horrible with the Rockets
    He got demoted
Lowry and Dragic didn’t get demoted

They traded him away and got nothing back

Yup. Airemy got demoted. He and his fans cried like little girls over it but the demotion was justified for the scrub. Pat used to destroy Airemy in practice. McHale was left with no choice but to strip Airemy off his starting spot.

Airemy has been bouncing around since, in search of a starting spot. Even the Nets gave up on that project lol...

TBH Lin's been playing pretty well this year. Led the team in points multiple times. He's been shooting at a good efficiency in the last 10 games or so.
    Tonight against raptors:
    26 points, 11/13 FG, 4/5 3PM

he can definitely be a good backup for a contender. Pretty sure the Hawks are gonna trade him before feb deadline

Hawks getting blown out, like destroyed
Lin leading them in scoring when it happens

    @Zboy

The plan the Hawks are executing to perfection
    9 straight losses
    Zion to Atlanta

He’s accumulating what we called garbage time points
But that’s what is needed to the road to Zion

    Lin belongs in Atlanta
Til they get their top pick

I still don't understand how this twit gets a thread dedicated to him season after disappointing season. What's with the infatuation of a guy who played one great stretch in NY? Or, is it some sick nostalgia over his effort to guide us to two losses in the playoffs? Why don't we have a thread for Courtney Lee? At least he's balled on every team he's been with....

The whole "once a Rocket, always a Rocket" deal isn't always true. Josh Smith deserves this honor...SweetLou as honorable mention, but "CareerBackup" ? I mean Omer Asik was more valuable as redwood tree in the lane than CareerBackup was to the Rockets.

    Baffling.

But, I guess the NBA is designed for fandom of anything and everything.

Lin sporting a Meloesque -6.2 net rating at this point of the season.

Shooting is looking like an outlier thus far, cant think he will keep that up. But so far he’s shot well.
