Never heard of a calf in jury that keeps a guy out the first two months of the season basically. Who knows.
hes been nothing but wasted space on our roster. dont get me wrong, in the past, he was great and useful. these days i havent even seen him on the court. always hearing about an injury. i think we need to flip him in whatever package deal we do next
Stanley Johnson is fine. I mean, you can get him for Chriss. Johnson is better but not sure by how much. He is one of those players that "looks the part" but on the court leaves you wanting for way more. His shooting has been disappointing. I haven't watched him a whole lot. Can someone make a case for Stanley Johnson fitting in with MDA's rotation?
He's an expiring contract. He would be a part of a bigger deal if we got him and we'd give him a shot at 4/5 in our system to see what he's got...And then probably unload him at the deadline if he didn't show well. Typical Morey try to catch lightning in a bottle move with basically no risk and pieces to move at the deadline along with increased trade flexibility. Also....might be part of Melo move on 15th.
Look, I know COD and Ne are close, and can appreciate that, but from a pure fan perspective, he has declined significantly since his injury 1.5 years ago in the playoffs. That year he had played in the Olympics and was playing amazing, now, he looks like the really old Kevin Willis - just not good enough for rotational minutes. He is a good statesman on the bench, but his days as as rotational player, IMHO, are long gone. DD
