    I would probably NOT make that trade no. Porter could be had without this deal, I don't love Oubre at all, Satoransky is a question mark...

    Oubre is a &D player. That 3 isn't respectable enough to make him a 3&D player

    Of course not. That's ridiculous. Noone in their right mind would prefer Knight over Porter no matter what.
    Also if you "blow it up" you don't care about capspace but you do care about albatross contracts that you can't get rid of without first round picks attached, aka Knight.

    I agree with you that I would never include Gordon in that deal. But no, the Wizards wouldn’t rather have Knight for 2 years over Otto for 3.
    Knight has zero value, and technically is still negative value until he only has one year left where his value would be an expiring. People can’t assume they’re getting anything in Knight unless they’re horrible negotiators. So that trade would basically be a first round pick for Porter. You gotta think Wizards would need to do better or find another trade to shake up their roster.

    Just to be clear I would only be willing to do your trade, but just saying Wizards should never be willing to do that

    I watched the Wizards tonight just to for Beal and yeah, he looks pretty good, he just plays more under control than Eric, better handler and passer, better court vision just like i remember. He also made a couple of very good one on one defensive possessions against bigger guys like Trez and Harris fwiw. I'm not even a great fan of the player, but i would love to get him, would be a pretty big upgrade imo.

    We could give them two picks....but I think one should do, honestly I dont know who could outbid us? New Orleans cant beat our offer, I dont think. Plus no one else is willing to take on Porter's contract.

    I'm a Porter Stan but even I wouldn't give up anything more than a heavily protected 1st with the bad assets. Porter has a very niche market of suitors that we would be essentially bidding against ourselves

    how was his d this game?

    offensively I didnt even notice him nor heard announcer call his name once

    true i had the game on only in background most of the time :)

    I do think we could be outbid but even so, I would assume if we were the best offer with a first and Knight then they simply wouldn’t trade him. He’s only 24.
