    We don't "have to" plus Ennis can't be traded until Dec 15

    These two work:

    BK, Nene, Chriss for OPJ
    BK, EG for OPJ

    Really all depends on what WAS wants. Are they desperate to dump him? If so we can hopefully get him for cheap. But if we have to compete with someone for him then we might need to include EG.

    Thank god we didn't land Melo in summer of 2017. He likely would have been a hindrance to us having such a great year last year (due mostly to fit, not effort), and now he'd be in the final year of a giant contract that would have severely hamstrung us.

    just for the sake of that example. what exactly is too much? you're getting porter who would be replacing ennis. nobody else even actually plays for the rockets in that offer

    Oh, you'd have all sorts of throw-in contracts available on December 15th. Ennis? No, he'd be perfect in the backup role. I don't suspect we'd shoot ourselves in the foot by offering EGO in any package.

    All this being academic. Not a peep from Washington that they're ready to blow it up. Gotta sell a few more tickets before admitting what everybody already knows: the Jiz are a mess.

    I like how Ennis has been playing the past few games. I think he will give you the same as Porter in effort. Plus they may have to part with a pick or two.

    I can't see Morey dealing EG for Porter, most likely it would prolly be picks.

    I concur. With that contract, Morey will not give up Gordon unless he is getting an All Star level player.

    i guess the issue is whether you think the difference between ennis and porter is a significant upgrade or not. it doesn't look like it
