Well, now I see something especially when he stayed great against Durant but I still think he won't be a solid rotation player without improving his quickness
Ummmmmn, develop a 3-ball? He already has a 3-ball developed. Just needs to develop more chemistry with the guards. The shot will be there and he'll take it and make it at a decent enough efficiency.
I have seen enough hes the next dork /rhyno replacement That backbreaking three from cp3 dime ... dayum
Sure, he doesn't have great hands. And it's true he can't really jump. But, I like to focus on what he does well. This guy is committed. He does everything 100%. I've never seen anyone so fired up to inbound the ball. Just watch what this kid does when someone takes a shot. When the ball is in the air he is either boxing out or flying towards the hoop for a put back. You can tell a lot about a player by watching them when the ball is in the air. I don't think his feet are as slow as some believe. He does a pretty good job of staying with his man on the perimeter. The job he did on KD was not bad at all for a guy just learning how to play in the NBA. Will he become a true 3 pt threat? I don't know, maybe. He clearly knew what he was doing when he set up behind the line. It's something they clearly have worked on in practice. It will be interesting to see how he progresses.
Honestly. . . from what I have seen . . . the only major knock on his is. . . WEAK HANDS I wont say bad but .. . he does fumble a bit much The guards are hesistant when they look to give him the ball in traffic . . and rightly so He gets rebounds snatched from him but . . . IMO . . that **** is entirely fixable Even within the seasons He seems more confident than Joe Chee ever has . . I like Joe but he seems to be out there hesitating and second guessing Rocket River
Unfairly. The way to Dantoni's heart for young guys is high effort and running the system. Guys he won't play are often guys with questionable motors or guys who get out there and just don't run the system.
The kid looks like he has a good motor and the right mentality. As long as he can defend guards on switches, he'll get more playing time. Oh and that 3 he made was glorious.
His second year he got nearly 20 minutes a game, playing in 60 games. He was set to be the backup center his third year. He was here in Nene's good years. Are you suggesting we should have sat Capela or Nene for Trez?
Funny thing is he’s getting that based on a stereotype, he actually is pretty athletic, just like a new born giraffe right now finding some coordination. Plus the fact that he is half black, he just looks white so he gets the “sturdy” or he can’t be athletic stereotype.
My 8 year old an I couldn't stop laughing at him a week ago, but now he's like our favorite guy off the bench just to watch. Cause you know something's going to happen with him - good or bad - and he'll be giving his all. Used to be more bad then good. But's it's slowly becoming more neutral and there's a path to more good than bad.
Everyone is an A$$hole on this board. Why not play him now. Nene is hurt. He's young and he needs to play real NBA minutes. Played pretty well last night if you ask me.
