Unless Donald is really, really mad, he can't fire Mueller.

He can, but why would he want to at this point?

I really do not believe you can be so dumb as to actually believe that.

If Trump had wanted to stop any indictments coming from the Mueller probe, he would have needed to stop the work on those investigations before they got the goods on those people (assuming that they have any). All of this is being handed off to the DOJ/FBI as you know very well. Also, it was all organizationally done under the supervision and the authority of the DOJ/FBI right from the start.

If Trump was going to fire Mueller, it would have needed to have been back at the start of this, not now that it is all but finished.

But I do not believe any of you are so dumb as to not know this. All of this continuing 'Protect Mueller from being fired by Trump' talk is just media propaganda crap. And you all surely must know that by now. Surely.

So, D&D denizens, what expect you for the rest of 2018? I personally believe (img. Ms. S. Carolina): 45 would not have put in a supplicant for a few months as just window dressing. Perhaps around Thanksgiving, perhaps around the holidays, something will happen. Perhaps something mild. Like a deadline and reduction of scope to Mueller and a clear chain of reporting. Like: give us the final report in a week, so we can bury it. K thx for your work!

It's the cleanest way, and if they do that on, like, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the nation will largely shrug and go eat turkey. Sure, some protests. Some weak democrat statements and speeches. Then, nothing. I guess they would then pull Mueller in to testify in 2019.

    Thoughts?

I think that some combination of Stone, Don Jr, and Kush will be indicted, as well as some Russian government agents which you will have never heard of.

Once DJr and Kush are indicted, Trump will do something crazy and we will enter a constitutional crisis.

This is all assuming, we can get passed the Whitaker issue, which we will hear alot of noise about once he starts interfering with Mueller.

I expect Trump to continue shooting himself in the foot.

Nothing will surprise me on how this plays out.

    lol the Perjury trap.

Clinton spent how many hours in front of committees for Benghazi? Where is her perjury charge? The answer is if you aren't a corrupt *******, there is no such thing as a perjury trap.

What is the under and over for Roger Stone pal Jerome Corsi flipping?

My best guess is 48 hours.

Mueller appears to have his sights on Roger Stone.

Only the best. Only the best.

I think this is true. I think the Never Trumper hope rests in it being too late to really stop Mueller. But I don’t know for sure that it is true. Thus the anxiety that Mueller will get buried despite the whole world watching.

The fact is Mueller cannot truly be buried at this point. All of these cases spread through at least three court systems, would need to be elaborately obstructed. Not just buried. Whitaker could only bury what is given to him as a report. Even if he blocks subpoenas or indictments he then has to report that to Congress.

The fact also is that even loyalists like Cohen and Manafort flipped when they had to save their own arses. Whitaker truly cannot be that stupid can he? I’m sure the senior DOJ officials warned him that he’s putting himself in serious legal jeopardy by even touching the Mueller probe. I could easily see Whitaker essentially flipping on Trump and doing more damage to Trump than anyone else. What greater credibility would the Mueller probe need then having the guy who argued for shutting the Mueller probe down on CNN being the one to sign off on an indictment for Don Jr.?

But yes... technically he can shut everything down if he wants to. He will also be gambling that the Dem Congress won’t be able to expose his obstruction and that a Democrat president won’t be elected in his lifetime who can indict him for obstruction of justice.

Accounts for Wikileaks, Fox News, and the National Inquirer have been inactive on Twitter since (about) the 9th of November. Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report has deleted his Twitter account. This is happening as Roger Stone and Jerome Corsi await indictment by Special Counsel.

If you can't see this as significant, you would have to be unaware just how prolific those twitter accounts are.

I know that Drudge deleted all of his tweets right after the shooting in Pittsburgh, when he railed against the coverage about it on Fox. Haven’t followed what he did after that.
