team defense is not about one person. as i said that can come down to who he is on the floor with. the rockets havent had the full roster long enough to figure out the best rotations. most of the games melo played MCW was still getting minutes.

    I never claimed otherwise

Melo is bad offensively for the most part and is the biggest defensive liability on the team

The fact that the rockets started james ennis over him makes Me even confused, so I do not blame him in this individual instance for being frustrated. Why not just actually try it out and give him all the open looks that ariza use to have?

Its hard to accept a bench role and even MORE reduced minutes when it looks like this team is beelining straight to the shitter.

WIth that being said, this is probably best for both sides.

I'm ignorant but ur making baseless claims ur not smart enough to even explain smh. What would a player's stats on previous teams have anything to do with his current team? Who cares he's not the star he used to be. The question is could he ever settle in a role coming off the bench. In 10 games you can't answer that

Just can't agree more, plus CP3 is 10X smarter than average players, he may say something along M
Because he defends by pushing the opponent on the back after passing him, Ennis at least lays them on the ground ;)

I’m still on the wagon that he shouldn’t be cut.

I think he should start next to harden and Paul. And make ennis come off the bench

His net rating so far is only better than MCW, Chriss and Qi.

That said Hartenstein and Clark are currently our 2 best.

But I would Think melo would hit his shots at least at a more efficient pace than ennis to make up for his not so great defense, especially if they are open.

I mean, Ennis has been scorching hot all season long. His shooting isn't really the issue.

Yeah, true, his shooting has been on point all his career with that 6.4 point career average.

Bad decision after another bad decision by our GM. It isn't like we cut Melo to put someone else in - we just cut him and extract our talent even further. He is not perfect, he is not even good, but he is far from being the root of our losses and by cutting him we will play bunch of gleaguers in our rotation. And as I said somewhere else - you take gleague players, you gonna play like gleague team. SMFH @Morey

Yeah you can put any pro basketball player in the corner in the starting lineup and he will give you those couple of points from three. Ennis is a non factor and he shouldnt even be a backup in contending team yet alone starter #ArizaButYounger

I bet you are a massive chucker on the basketball court... :D "Kobe!"

At the moment, James Ennis is shooting Ray Allen percentages from three. He has problems, but so far shooting is not one of them. Honestly, one reason he probably plays over Melo is because he shoots less.

Did we cut him, or did he quit?

    (Seems like he quit... DNP-Illness...)

I can't imagine Yao not showing up for his teammates... Can you?

Reality Check: Gary Clark jacked his spot, because Gary Clark is a better fit. Ouch huh?

No we won’t play like a g league team at all. Reason because the g league all stars are role players in the NBA and we still have our all world players to cover most of the g league players growing pains. What we will need is a coach that coaches. A player that fits and wants to be here is 10X better then a Melo that is out of the rotation —> ticking time bomb.

The entitlement will be replaced with a drive for improvement

I’m all for it but he doesn’t seem to get all the open looks that Ariza gets.....so far in the early season. Ariza always seemed to find the open space in the floor. Maybe Melo needs to look at the tape of offense
