I'm not saying there there the same. Obviously you didnt read that. The only player close to him is white.
That's like if a guy had seven really ugly sisters. He takes the least ugly sister and says: "Sister number 4 is our Kate Upton".
Add Nick Castellanos to the list of bats Houston made an offer for last deadline. I was a proponent of trading for him going back to last offseason. Not sure he makes as much sense now if Houston really believes in Tucker, but for the right price I do think he’s another viable option to help lengthen the lineup; I wonder if he could play 1B.
Nothing shocking there. He's played over 380 games at 3B for Detroit. I'd be willing to bet he could make that transition. I would like for the "best fit" articles come a true and see them make a real run at Paul Goldschmidt...but Castellanos is a fine player who could play multiple positions.
Whatever this guy says, the exact opposite is true. Castellanos' biggest plus is his bat. He has very limited defensive value. We'd be adding him for his bat, not for his non-existing "versatility."
If they were really willing to gamble on Pollock's health he would be a great addition to the lineup. Wonder what the cost would be? When healthy that guys a stud and the CF that allows the Stros to have the best OF defense in the AL again. Sign Pollock/Grandal and trade for a SP that would be a great offseason. IMHO
It doesn't mean he cant play them. It's just a last resort kinda think. You want J.D Davis out there with almost zero bat or Castellanos with mediocre def at 3rd? Js
