Man in a perfect world yeah, extinguish all Divas. However, in a world that doesn't want to help the Rockets, you have to get talent some where. You have to make the talent work for you..
Harden was a superstar tho, u deal with his deficiencies because he more than makes up for them Melo isn’t even good, if he was then maybe it would be a different story...Melo has no clout here, he needs to fall in line or bounce If u were a teammate of Melo’s, u wouldn’t be looking at him and D’antoni sideways if he managed to b*tch his way into a starting role? Everyone else is focused on getting this team back on track, but of course Melo is out here more concerned about himself.
I wonder how much the 2015 season weighs on Morey's thought process regarding this situation. I would imagine he'd do whatever he has to in order to avoid going through an entire season like that again. Hard to picture him standing pat if we are still under .500 20 games into the season. Maybe we're seeing it already after only a dozen games.
Sure. One side: Melo has ruined the entire season and we have to cut him. The other side: Melo wants out so he can be a starter. The truth: Who the f%$k knows? (definitely not Holic)
what opposite? Did he say Rockets are begging Melo to stay? I made one factual statement about how the waiver wire works, then a pure speculation on why the Rockets might not be cutting immediately. My reason for a delay is a pure guess. It could also be to allow Melo to save face. Last thing we want is a DMo situation where he blames us for hurting his value...lulz.
Time wasting. This was NEVER going to work. Never. Ever. It was a delusional move. That time and energy could have been spent elsewhere. Wasted 10 games trying to integrate someone that was never going to work. The drama right now that no want wanted. You are being naive if you dont think Melo is a big reason reason for on court chemistry issues. He should have never been signed, even for FREE, Just glad that he will be gone soon and this team can go back to being a team.
How many of you believe he can still help us win? I'm not asking to be a jerk, I genuinely want to know.
My guess ---- Melo and Rockets discussed his role before the season started. Melo was fine playing that role. With DM unable to trade EG and Clark's emergency means minutes were going to be cut from someone and that someone is Melo. So Melo's role on the team would change to sometimes taken DNPCD if the matchups didn't dictate Melo would play. Regardless of what anyone thinks Melo still thinks he can play and has a place in the NBA getting minutes. Right or wrong that is the way he views himself. So Melo is the one out looking for other place while our guys are trying to talk him into returning to the Rockets and let the season play out. If they are unable to convince him to come back then Melo will be released (which I think will happen). I do think Melo would rather retire than just sit the bench and not play. Cod mentioned that he was also have some serious family issues so maybe that is also playing a part and he just wants to play closer to his family. Maybe his wife who he was trying to reconnect with decided to finally submit the divorce paperworks? Whatever it is at the end of the day I do not think he will be back.
You're reaching, time spent my but, you think this requires any effort to cut a player, what are you even on about. If anything if teams wanna trade, we could actually get some value back for him. Either way, him not being here doesn't magically make us good, making shots did. I refer you to the San Antonio game where we were still bricking.
I keep hearing this, but Melo's actually had a few good games this season. Given our superstars have been as bad if not WORSE it's not really accurate to say he's simply not good. You wanna know who's not good? DMo. You wanna know who sucks? Zhou Qi. When you put it in context Melo's just been inconsistent, which is logical given its still early in the season
cool, thx...just found it. fwiw: he didn't say DM, but James, CP, Nene and Tucker..."to have Melo work through this." So, you're thinking CP and Harden asked DM to wait a few days??
He’s had a few good scoring games, but overall, he’s not good. He sucks defensively, and provides nothing else other than inefficient scoring. He had a lot of 20+ point games in OKC too (he had 28 of them), yet we all know he was still garbage. He will have a good offensive game on occasion. U can be better than other guys who suck, that doesn’t mean u still don’t suck too. There’s levels to this.
I put in DM because it didn't sound like he was cutting Melo from his interview. I think Melo was presented with his new role and Melo couldn't accept that role. So everyone is trying to sell him on that role. I also think Melo was truely sick so it isn't like he was staying home to spit on anyone (think they reported Tucker has it now) Like Cod also said he is having a serious family issue so that could be playing a roll in all this also. I think once everything is handled Melo no longer sick and whatever the stuff is at home then Melo will make a decision on what he wants to do. I do think he has played his last game for Houston.
what drama? fake drama? lulz Like I said, this is you scapegoating Melo...or saying you don't like ESPN creating drama around false narratives. Which is it: Are you proving ESPN correct by scapegoating Melo for our slow start Or are you butthurt by ESPN creating fake drama around false narratives. There really is no in between here. You are either #1 or #2, while everyone else who you are thumping your "I told you so" chest to are actually correct ... there was no risk, because we could cut him right away. I think you are actually both #1 and #2 above. poor @Zboy
I dont care for ESPN. You can waste your time there. I am talking about internal drama. This team has issues and the last thing it needs is Melo drama because of his selfishness. If you going to have deal with a headache atleast let the player be worthwhile. Morey isnt conducting an impromptu interview for fun. That was damage control. Just cut him, like you said. But they are not..... uh oh. But that's ok. Keep believing in your Melo dreams. Meanwhile the Warriors..... Which is it btw: 1) Want Melo 2) Want Rockets to win. Cause you know both aint happenin lol.
