While I appreciate the fact that he wants to leave, he is not doing it because he thinks he doesn't fit, at least not in the way you and I are thinking fit. It's because he cant stomach an drafted rookie outshining him and taking his minutes. And the fact that he knows with reduced minutes he wont have the opportunities to chuck away shots and get his points. That's the way he sees himself "fitting" on a team.

 

Poor Melo, out classed by an undrafted rookie.
Hopefully there’s no undrafted rookies on his next squad.
