Well then leave them out because it takes away from your intention, if indeed that was your intention.

On a contending team during the playoffs?

    Absolutely 0 minutes.

The only use he can be of for the Rockets is during the regular season, where he can be used on offense to reduce the minutes for harden and CP against average to poor teams. That is the best he can do for this team.

Any good and smart team would exploit him on defense.

Assuming no trades as it stands now, I think Carmelo starts. But that really isn't the big deal.

I think the big key will be in "rotations" and "who finishes."

With rotations, I expect Melo to exit early WITH CP3. And then come back together. It will be that 2nd until that will cause damage in the late 1st quarter and early/mid 2nd quarter. Same in the second half. THEN, who finishes? Depends on the score and the hot hand.

    Starters: CP3/Harden/Melo/Tucker/Capela

    1st Sub: EG/Harden/Ennis/Tucker/Nene

    Second Unit: CP3/EG/Ennis/Melo/Capela

Rockets LIMIT the usage of BOTH Harden & Melo together to limit defensive leaks.

I think the finish lineup will be CP3/Harden/EG/Tucker/Capela. A lineup without Melo. BUT....depending on the lineup, I could see Melo finishing in Capela's place with Tucker playing C.

Nah. The same team that missed 27 straight threes is not going to bench Melo. Because i know damn well melo would make at least 1-27 three. Thats already an improvement.

We all know he hits more than just one, too. He has two hof point guards that know how to use his all star skills. Yes, he is not the player he once was but he has never had teammates like this either. He can shoot the ball better than most that ever touched a basketball. He has a very reliable shot, fact.

    These comments are literal garbage.

Can someone remake the poll with comments that sound like they weren’t written by a 12 year old from Oklahoma City?

I just want to see the CP3, Harden, Gordon, Melo, Tucker line up catch fire. Sometimes offense is the best defense.

Ryan Anderson may be worthy of that.

Ryan Anderson is worthless, so I agree. Maybe we'll get Hoodie Melo or some other renaissance; I definitely hope so. The last several seasons don't seem to generate much chance of that happening, though. He's on vet minimum from us, so I don't care. I just also think we should keep our expectations in check. He's not a third star.

The only way this works is if he learn to stand first, then fly. Balance key to everything. We need this guy to play 30 minutes at an elite level. I'm not here to patch up his leaky valves with junk ball players. This guy has gotta bring it for us to go anywhere. So build him back up. We've got to force him into what he was and live with the results.

There was a joke on twitter that the Rockets would lead the league in Carbs. aka empty calories. Clearly a slam at Melo.

Morey responded "we are time restricting our carb intake, so it is fine." AKA Melo's minutes will be restricted.

or else he means we are delaying Melo's signing so as to restrict total carb intake over the course of the 2018 preseason heading into the 2018-19 regular season. Melo signs on Sept 25 confirmed

Time for this chucker to ride the pine, he can't defend at all. Wanted to bump this so some of you can remember how you told me Melo was the greatest player just needed to be in the right spot.
