Glad to hear Dr. Murray had a positive influence on your life. I grew up down the street from him and have been friends with his sons for most of my life. He's someone who I've admired for a long time and one reason why to this day I have a hard time referring to him as anything but Dr. Murray.

Paradise is surrounded by (and inundated by) a pine forest. I'm sure there are beds of dry pine needles to explode in flames everywhere.
Pine trees without any rain might as well be kerosene once you've got wind and a spark. The air all over the Bay Area is just oppressive, like being in the middle of a poorly run campfire. Ick.
