Who cares what anyone thinks of the Melo situation? The player signed to the vet minimum is NOT causing this team to be so anemic on offense. In fact, if we'd feed him in the post, he would be hella productive. This gimmicky three point offense, and the slow starts of CP3, Capela, and (to a lesser extent) Harden, are to blame for this. Point being, if we get rid of Melo, we will be just as bad as we are now. We lost last night, right?
The media needs to be addressed. The team is playing like ****. Mike Dantoni kinda pivoted all questions to Morey by saying "talk to Daryl" to media last night when asked about Melo. I'm sure Daryl didn't like that, and Tillman should be upset. I think his patience is thinner than Les because he's spending way more $. I say that even tho Les fired McHale after 11 games.
That's right. no idea for coaching bad players CP3 feet are slow Ennis is a not defensive talent ......
The whole team is playing like ass. Yet, the fixation seems to be on Melo as the problem that needs to be taken care of. I don't get it.
That's right. MDA has no idea for coaching bad players CP3 is slow on everything now. I'd bench him if we have De'Aaron Fox. Ennis would be 12th man for Clippers and 15th man for Raptors,. why is he playing for Championship team? ......
I doubt the message that they wanted to conveyed was we are evaluating everyone as much as it was that Melo shouldn't be singled out and blamed.. Perhaps doing Melo and his agent a favour and trying to save his reputation.
Okay, so yea on offense he's not the problem I agree. Even defensively, maybe...MAYBE we could work it out. And no, giving him more post ups, is not gonna do anything for us imo. He needs to right person to post up and those are far and few between, he cant dominate the league like he used too so more often than not, its gonna be bad offense, but thats jut my opinion. My issue is(and I should have worded it better before) is that if he's gonna cause a rift in the locker room with the other players and coaches than we have a problem. He's not good enough offensively to cause this kind of turmoil
Tilman doesn’t seem like the patient type. He literally said if he can’t make the WCF woth this team he needed a new GM.
What reputation? Everyone thinks he is a cancer and team killer? What reputation are they trying to save?
wow. wow. Tillman isn't happy he's going to have to pay $2.4 millions to a guy that's being waived. Afterall, he's in financial trouble being $2 billion in debt.
Everyone where? In this forum and reddit? Everyone aka other teams' decision makers who may look into signing him pretty soon.
Where is this report that the locker room is divided? Same people that said that he was getting wavied? Melo has never been a locker room problem. Even in NY when Phil was blasting him in the media he didn't cause locker room problems. In OKC no reports of locker room problems. Him causing a locker room problem would be outside the norm.
likewise i could see him instructing morey to start shedding salary quick to get out of the lux tax for this season if we get to 10 losses thursday
I agree, I don't think Melo is being played correctly. To just have him stand around the 3 point line and have him chuck 3s is not really using him correctly. I wish they'd use him to try and get switches on smaller players more, but they don't. I just meant Melo as a possible locker room problem. Something isn't right about this team, to be 4-7 after the season we had and not see more passion out of say CP3 just smells like locker room issues. Maybe it's not melo? Who knows at this point. It's just scary since MDA has a history of having teams implode on him.
Yea, I didn’t really like that. Dantoni being a little b****y to the media telling them to “ask Morey” really putting him on the spot.
