    https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018...p-10-publishers-on-facebook-for-october-2018/

Despite attempts by the social media Masters of the Universe to censor conservative viewpoints, the social media engagement experts at NewsWhip have listed Breitbart News as one of the top ten Facebook publishers for October 2018.

According to the recently released NewsWhip rankings for October of 2018, Breitbart News has entered the top ten publishers on Facebook, ranking alongside CNN, Fox News, the New York Times, and the Washington Post. Breitbart’s ranking as the tenth most engaging publisher on Facebook is the highest rank the site has ever attained, and a jump from number 15 in September.

NewsWhip explained its rankings system, stating: “Our rankings come from NewsWhip Analytics. The analysis examines English-language content from publishers, ranked by Facebook likes, shares, and comments to their web content. We do not combine network publishers with their local outlets or other subsidiary domains.”

Well that explains why so many conservatives are completely confused and delusional about things.

Would be nice if they got their news from more credible sources.

I'm not triggered, I'm saddened, and I feel pity for the ignorant that go to Breitbart for their news.

So we can thank many of these fake memes shared by my friends on Facebook to this publication?

    Thanks Breitbart.

Don't know why one should be impressed by a ranking of where people get their "news" on Facebook.

I'm not entirely sure what qualifies one as a "Facebook publisher" and what that actually means.

This actually helps to explain why my ignore list has expanded this year for the first time in years.

Facebook is the cesspool for misinformation so I can see how this would be interpreted as some sort of victory lap for conservative Breitbart readers.

Fox and Breitbart as mainstream as it gets.

Reuters and NPR is where I go. I don't give two sh!ts about commentary or your opinion of the news, just give me the facts, and move on.

Right? A person capable of critical reasoning, informed with fact can grasp a situation.

But *everything* is interpretation and spin these days. Reuters seems Ok. NPR...…"just no." (and I used to listen to it)

Ok.....what are the "more credible" sources? NYT? Washington Post? HuffPo? All extremely biased, IMO.

And, I would add: remember the Jason Blair NYT debacle from about 10 years ago? And now our own logical rag (Chronicle) has come out with its own Tony Blair debacle? I'm not sure why one would believe these sources ever again. That's to say nothing about Brian Williams, etc.

Sure, Breitbart is spin/commentary. But it is not, to my mind, outright fabrication and lying, as we see in the examples above.

For better or worse, that's where people are getting their news these days.
