Interesting to read the response of the journalists.

This one I found particularly rich:

To be clear, several things can be true:

    1) Acosta is sometimes a grandstander

    2) He didnt attack the female intern

    3) His press pass shouldnt be revoked

    4) It's laughable the press secretary for this president pretends this WH cares about people putting their hands on women

Didn't the Breitbart reporter that Lewandowski grabbed end up with a gigantic bruise on her arm from the incident? These two instances are not at all alike, do you seriously think Jim Acosta should be charged with assault for this?

me personally, I don't have an opinion on that. I think it was a mistake to charge Lewandowski in 2016. So it would probably be a mistake to push a claim against Acosta over this incident. but it doesn't matter to me either way--I'm more amused by this whole thing than anything else. I think Acosta disrespected the office of the President, and then the President disrespected him right back. I'm in the "they both acted like children" camp

I'm pretty sure her job as an intern is to do whatever she is told including retrieving the microphone. My guess is she didn't expect the reporter to be so dismissive.

This is actually a good point. It was clear that someone should have given her guidance/coaching on this stuff, beforehand -- and they did not.

The easy thing to would have been to cut Acosta's mike. "Oops technical difficulties."

Not sure which side you are are referring to as the 'other' side...but this is what has been happening on the left ever since Trump was elected. The MSM went into full bore Trump bashing, starting with comparing him to Hitler during the inauguration (which was therefore clearly preplanned, as Trump hadn't actually done anything yet) and escalating from there. They've been in full bore TDS mode ever since. As such, this was just another straw in that basket, and a fairly minor one at that, relatively. It's taken 2 years, but the MSM has gone from being shrill in their trumpertantrums, to being a little more subdued, but with the same mindless content. Numerous stories have come out showing how contrived their criticisms are...they are the media arm of the Democratic party. Is that the 'other side' you were referring to?

Only so many mics to go around. Making them go around was her job. GIVING the mic to her was Acosta's. He failed in that job, as he has in his other one.

You know that was from an article he pasted, right? @Os Trigonum doesn't actually like to commit to personal opinions, he posts articles and then wish-washes when asked to give an opinion.

However, that specific take you love is insane. "Karate chop the white house staff's arms" LOL. Are you another puss like @mick fry ?

Seriously, the only thing more dumb than a bunch of idiots believing he laid a hand on this woman (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) is the fact that our white house purposely tweeted out a fake video of the incident to lie to this country's citizens.

The White House is promoting doctored videos to lie to the American people. Hate Acosta and what he says all you want, but if you can't admit to yourself the fake video act crosses a line, you are a sheep that cannot be helped.

C'mon dude we're talking about an intern here. Use your common sense and don't be so dense.

I realize later that he didn't write it, but it's still a great post.

The rest of your post is strawmanning. I actually think the intern laid hands on him, more than he did her. WH should have coached her better, or cut Acosta's mike.

Acosta deserves a timeout, even aside from the intern interaction.

I agree but Acosta acting up isn't new. How hard is it to have multiple mikes? WH could have planned this better.

You're point is that the intern is stupid. I can see that argument but a Whitehouse intern likely has a very high level education so I can't excuse her for being that stupid.

I plug my ears to it because it's crap. My agreement has nothing to do with it. I listen to things I disagree with all the time, if they are credibly presented. Sometimes even change my mind when I do. CNN stopped being credible in the political arena quite a while ago, so I stopped watching them. Because, as I said, its crap. Some people like the crap, so their ratings are fine. But that doesn't make the crap into steak...it just means quite a few eat it anyway.

And he stopped reporting the news long ago. Creating news is more his shtick. Which is what he was trying to do there.

OK, smart guy...how does she pass it around if she can't get it??? She's not supposed to HAVE to forcefully remove the mic.

That you even had to invoke 'security' shows just how out of line Acosta, was, by the way.
