That doctor should quit complaining. They already have armed guards at emergency rooms. I’m a little uncomfortable going to my primary care doctor though. No armed guards there.

Since you added the second part... I'll add the following. Numerous times I have suggested real solutions to the gun problem... from expanded background searches (longer, more comprehensive, including psychological), longer waiting periods, better sharing of information between local and national databases, limits on the number of guns purchased, limits on the types of ammo sold, limits on the size of magazines sold, limits on the types of weapons sold. None of these prevent people from being able to purchases guns so none violate constitutional rights. All deserve careful consideration and I believe implementation. Its the trump/nra people that shoot down (no pun intended) any possible solution. Hence... the argument: "No, we shouldn't look at any possible solutions, much better to simply do nothing but offer thoughts and prayers.
