I kind of hope he loses. Dems aren't getting Senate. I believe him when he says he will serve 6 years. I rather him be president. He is the white Obama.
That would make sense. It would be insane if Beto actually won. If he were to win by more than half a percent or one percent, it would be utterly bizarro. If Cruz wins by less than three points to a lefty who ran on Medicare for all and BLM, and Abbott wins easily then that's a huge reprimand of Cruz.
@JayGoogle @justtxyank Thanks for the responses . I try not to follow politics if at all possible ; but , election coverage piqued my interest a bit .
I've read somewhere that Harris has only reported their early voting which was more than all voting last midterm. Beto may still have hope if that is the case.
I agree that he'd be a good presidential candidate but he's so young that he could run in 2028 and still be a young presidential candidate. The Dems need to keep the senate close, it makes those swing moderates a lot more important. Winning the senate, forget it. But keeping it close? That's what they need to do.
It hinges on who wins the House majority. If Republicans win they plan on changing the duration of terms to 8 years for Republicans, and 4 years for Democrats. It is gerrymandering on another level I suppose.
NYTimes hasn't done an official projection but is "predicting that Cruz will win comfortably based on where they see the numbers.
I think turnout in Harris might decide this race . If it's this close and only 16% has reported then it's gonna go down to the wire lol
