I think most people in this thread think it is wrong for her to steal money..... doesn't mean that it isn't funny or worth a chuckle though.

 

And they will continue to as long as there are stupid people.

 

If random young black woman posted a go fund me page and did not mention politics at all, but asked for money for college, would the same folks have contributed money to her? Would other people have given her money? Would it even be a story........ or did she get money, and it is a story because a black woman wore a MAGA hat and swindled MAGA supporters?

 

Right? I don't see a whole lot of kudos being posted.

And to answer my earlier question since nobody else did, yes, there have been several cases of people being charged with fraud for stuff like this, usually re: a bogus illness or the like. And gofundme refunds all donations to causes that are proven fake.

It's a story because of the politics obviously. It doesn't make her any less of a criminal. As for if the people would have still given her money, that's a question for them, not me, but I would probably say they wouldn't.

Geez, not stealing, it's fraud. People willingly signed over money to her, so it is not stealing. When you trick people into giving you money it's called fraud. Two different crimes.

Hard to be sympathetic to people who live in an age where internet scams are very common....yet they STILL fall for it.

I see, condemn an ordinary citizen defrauding idiots for money to go to college but pay no attention to the President defrauding idiots to build power in this country.

There was a man about 5 years ago that used to take a **** in the front yard of houses around our township. Most the homes are 700,000 or more... and it was in one sense funny picturing posh people angry that someone took a **** next to their mailbox.

In my eyes, taking a dump near someones mail box and defrauding people of their money are two different things, but both are still disgusting and they should pay the price for their actions.
